Great review & I agree with you. May I know your thoughts on this Sonic Pro sound signature - is it similar to the Edifier TWS 1 Pro? The Sonic Pro sound definitely need some time to get used to. My initial feel was a disappointment but after listening to a while it started to appreciate the sound signature.

Nice reviews you got! I almost made the purchase but changed my mind after reading from sellers that soundpeats only allow 1A charging for their products. Not one charger of my 6 devices I have charges at anything below 1.5A! And I'm not going to let the earbud case dangling from the back of my TV's USB port!

Hello Sean thank you for the great info. I want a pair of soundpeats earbuds for audiobooks while outdoor, but I'm indecisive between the sonics and the T2's (keep in mind ANC is really important for me). Which one would you recommend?

When I decided to buy the Sonic the main reason was the size of the driver unit. Bigger is not always better but there is a better chance to not going wrong with it. 1 or 2 mm isn't that much but 1 mm to 8-10 mm could be a game changer. It's bassy, rich, loud and easy to control (for me). Good comparison! 👍

I’m glad that I picked the sonic the first place. Using it for almost a year. Loved the bass. I’m more of an bass headed guy. Just don’t like the mic and volume. Overall totally worth the buy. Unfortunately lost the other pair. Looking for your reviews to see if buying H1 will be worth it compared to the other brands.

I have H1 and my case lid is normal not like your H1 in this video. Btw for Malaysian tws tech UKpostsr you are the most full input, great Cinematic, editing and great video maker in my opinion I can have all the information in just 1 video.Loved your intonation very relaxing.i can sit and watch your video again and again.Good Job👍

I personally have the sonic and there are only 3 things i like about it - bass, latency and battery life, really excelled in these departments . But it lacks sound stage, almost sounds muffled and too quite I still have to crank the volume of at least 80%. The matte finishing has also started to chip off after 3 months of use.

Now that I think about it. Soundpeats probably is well aware about the matte finish peeling off problem with the first sonic and thats maybe why they ditched it in the pro version. I completely peeled off the matte finish and it now looks pro.

Considered "upgrading" to this but if all it offers over the og sonic is wireless charging then I guess I might stick with the old pair as I like heavier bass or take a look at edifier instead. Nice comparison review!

Does really the Sonic have the best Bass and Sub-Bass from all? I have the Sonic but the case lid already doesn't old on open, i think the battery is loosen inside the case, they didn't fall, and i hate that earbuds buttons, it hurt my ears heavily, specially when long pressing. But love the sound and that Sub-bass rumble, and the fit in the ear, very comfortable, i wish to try other that have the best of Sonic and fix the ugly hard button.

Țhanks for the review. I truly enjoy my T2 Hybrid. I also bought Mini Pro HS, but I was surprised how weak the ANC on the Mini Pro HS I immediately returned. I'm looking for a backup for the T2 Hybrid since it only lasts me 8 hours on continuous play. Media source: Galaxy S22 + 4K Lofi listening and Podcast. I need to drown ambient sounds like air-conditioning, crowd noises, inside cabin of airline, and some other machineries. Would you still recommend the Sonic Pro? Thank you.

I got the H1 and really didn't like the boominess of the bass as it overpowered the "fun" part of the music for me which is the vocals and highs. Luckily the Soundpeats EQ app helped me get a more balanced sound. The fit is terrible though. Even with the 3 sets of eartips I couldn't get a seal at all and the buds would just fall out of my ears. I had to use some XL eartips from other buds I own to get a nice seal, though the buds stick out of my ears quite a bit.

Thanks Sean. I was waiting for this review because I had many doubts between buying the Sonic or the Sonic Pro and I think you have clarified my doubts a lot. And although the H1 are a good option, perhaps I prefer to sacrifice a little sound quality and gain autonomy in the battery of the earbuds. Also, I'm not sure if the price difference between the H1 and the Sonic justifies the gain in sound quality by sacrificing autonomy. My budget is a bit tight. What would you do? Sonic or H1? Thank you my friend! actually the difference in sound quality is really small, especially if you use like spotify, where music is already highly compressed to start with, honestly the difference between them is very small. You'll only know the difference if you swap between them like 10 times for the same songs hahaha. On their own, they are pretty good.

I had the the normal sonic and returned them right away, they sound too low. Now I have the true air 2 plus and sound way better but the non passive nc is kinda bugging me. Now I want to try the H1 to see if they are worth the extra money. You should check the new truengine 3SE that comes with the 3040 chip.

Hi, I'm currently looking to buy for my first pair of true wirelress earphones. Currently I'm considering either the SoundPEATS Sonic or the EarFun Free 2 because both sell for basically the same price where I live (35 vs 37€), which one would you "recommend more"? Currently I'm probably leaning more towards the Sonic, but only bc they look a lot nicer and that's the only "real" comparison I have right now xD Or should I get a take a look at a completly different pair before pulling the trigger? :) Edit: I just saw that both the SoundPEATS T2 and the EarFun Free Pros are only ~12€ more expensive (48€) right now, are they worth the extra cost, if ANC isnt a priority?

Hey there. OK here's my take. I would go with the Sonic just because I think it does a better job with controlling the mids and highs. The free 2 isn't bad, but I jz hoped that it had a tad bit better clarity. Personally I'm a BIG ANC fan and honestly a good pair would change your listening experience. If you can splurge a little, go with the T2. For a budget ANC buds, those are really polished. 😁

I have the Sonic too, the push button on the left side almost completely gone. You have to press it really hard to get some response. I still have 15 month warranty on it. The customer service advised me to put back the buds to the case and take them out several for times and the problem will be resolved. When I informed them it is physical problem not a software issue, they blocked my conversation. Soundpeats is as great product as its customer service. I finished with them.

I really don’t believe that the pro one is that bad because I own them and they are pretty good on the vocals and the instruments but on the og sonic they sound kinda muffle to me.

icic, thanks for the perspective, I've tested them with a couple of devices to try to see how it projects audio across all codecs. including an iphone 12, and also a Sony NW-a105. especially with Iphones, they don't sound as brilliant to be honest cuz they lack AAC and relies solely on SBC. with aptx adaptive and tidal, things do sound better. but I do come from the angle of typical spotify streaming, and also using it on iphones, oddly I don't think the Sonic pro hits that highs as good as the og sonic.

This guy paid by soundpeat, i bought this a year ago and it always with a connection problem and it is not recommended for pc/laptop, there's always an interruption with the connection and I have to disconnect and reconnect it, very annoying. the only thing good about this device is the battery which stays alive for quite some hours.

OK, so far I would rate them like this in case of features: 1. H1 2. TrueEngine 3 SE (Qualcomm 3040) = Sonic Pro 3. Sonic 4. TrueEngine 3 SE (Qualcomm 3020) Ofc the H1 is top since the dual driver, at least from me, is really a must since I first try it with Soundpeats. Pairing the Sonic Pro in the same level the TrueEngine 3 SE (3040) are, may be kinda harsh but the TrueEngine 3 SE doesn't have wireless charging, the battery life isn't as good as the Sonic Pro, but what limits the Sonic Pro are the sound quality since it doesn't have the dual driver setup of the TrueEngine 3 SE. Then the original Sonic have almost all of the features of the Sonic Pro minus the wireless charging and not as good gaming mode, and ofc the original TrueEngine 3 SE (3020) since they generally have some (or a lot) connectivity issues, although they have the same excellent sound quality that the TrueEngine 3 SE model is known for.

Thanks for this review. I also considered to choose between 3se n sonic pro. I like h1 sound signature, but it's out of my budget. I can only hearing sound test/sample for each model on youtube, but can't find sonic pro's sound test since it still new. So, I guess I will go with 3se for the sound quality.
