Can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate you guys not wanting to alienate your podcast enjoyers. I’m comprised of 95% lazy and if it gets more difficult to find how to watch or if there’s a paywall, I just won’t. This is my favorite podcast, so thanks for that.

The podcast story reminds me, you guys are the only podcasts that I consume over UKposts. Mainly due to the reason I came to WVFRM via the Studio, so I love to see Marques, Andrew, David, Elis and Adam. I like to see you guys react to stuff, not to mention tech news is something that almost always requires visuals. The other podcasts I hear are basically me listening to someone rant about a certain thing, like a certain trope in linguistics or how Ancient Aliens is wrong. I can do that over Spotify and Pocket Casts.

And that sucks. There’s one podcast that I used to listen every now and then, and out of nowhere they annouced a “partnership” with Spotify. It’s not much, but they lost a fan, because I refuse to open Spotify just for that. In fact, I ended up deleting Spotify from my phone cause I’m salty.

@@fabios5910 I went through the same thing a while ago. There was a podcast I enjoyed listening to on UKposts and would keep up with it every week, but then it became a Spotify exclusive and I did not follow it to that platform. I hate using Spotify for anything, let alone video.

Just wanna say that the tablets on the back of the SU7 are not included in the car. They just made mounts for different tablets, including Xiaomi tablets and iPads. Also, there have already been some deliveries to early customers. All the specs are matched including the 0-60.

The BIG difference between videos and podcasts is the costs associated with delivering the media. UKposts takes a 55% cut, because probably half of that (maybe more, maybe less) goes into costs of delivering the video to viewers and their other features. With podcasts, they would have less then 10% of the cost of a video of equal length.

You can turn that PIP off in the settings. Go to notifications in your settings menu, then advanced settings, then "pop-up notifications" You can choose 3 options. Bubble, smart pop-up, and off.

The Xiaomi SU7 is a testament and direct statement to Apple that Apple is not the godfather of everything that people used to believe it to be. Apple didn’t even manage to make a mockup but here is Xiaomi already starting production for almost 80,000+ pre-orders

I think the thing that most people don’t realize about spatial personas, is that this is literally the closest thing to physical teleportation that we’ve ever had. The scans will become better, the “beta” note will disappear, whole bodies will be rendered your space. The fact that we’re able to experience the very inception of this technology is quite inspiring.

I just tried the Vision Pro. a 30 minute demo was all I needed to experience it. Right now there is no content. If you have 2 people with a vision, the ability to share spatial experiences is amazing. However, I still recommend buying 7 Quest 3's and passing them out to friends and family vs 1 Vision Pro.

I love it. also I am super impressed at how you guys manage to make the conversation seem so smooth while still nailing these amazing transitions that just seamlessly changes the topic with the listeners barely realising it and nobody skipping a beat. You guys should make some kind of podcast masterclass detailing all the scripting, editing and ofcourse raw unadulterated talent that goes into these kind of mind-blowing masterpieces of conversation. I'm not saying that the average lay man could attempt to or even understand how you guys make this possible, but it would be a cool piece by the absolute masters of the genre showing how it's done. FYI: Vingroup is first and foremost, a real estate company lol, they have hundreds of appartment building and most of the big malls in Vietnam are also Vingroup's - Vincom. They also own the 2nd tallest building in South East Asia - Landmark 81. The CEO of Vingroup is the richest person in Vietnam. Vinuni is the most expensive university in Vietnam with the average tuition of like 35k usd a year. Vinfast started out as an electric bike company and is still selling bikes nowaday, the brand then branched out to making gas cars, and now electric cars!

The discord app is using a framework called Electron (first introduced by Amazon Atom) which is basically a chromium core running a JavaScript web app on top. So that’s why embedding a video is just like having a chrome tab open with the UKposts video pre-programmed to loop. (I’ve been watching a lot of WVFRM and you guys would definitely benefit from a software engineer POV on a lot of these topics 🤣)

I’ve been using pocket casts for years. I’ve tried switching to Apple Podcasts or even google podcasts but the extra features pocket casts offers are almost non-negotiable. This podcast I listen on UKposts cause of UKposts premium and less ads.

Yep, it had no future. Google will not allow it to succeed. Google controls UKposts and with that most of the tech influencers. Marques never say that Google takes 45% of the ad revenue. He also "mislead" that Patreon is free, its between 8% to 12% plus fees for transaction processing, payout feeds, currency conversions etc. Patreon is still better because you have some hours with a coach and Jack Conte is an actual creative not a money-making machine like Apple, but it's clear Marques is just omitting information to get at Apple.

I think the hosts confused the "estimated delivery date if you lock the order now" with "delivery starting at date" for Su7. Su7 has already started delivery on April 3rd (Founders Edition), thus the clam that the standard version delivers sooner is not correct, the estimated delivery of the Max version takes more time just because it's a rather popular choice.

Another feature in the podcasting 2.0 spec is a value tag where you can put a bitcoin lightning address. There are a bunch of podcast apps that support sending donations in bitcoin to the podcast, including a 'streaming' feature where you send X sats per minute listened. You can even do 'splits' with multiple wallet address for different people and the get a percentage of the sats sent to that entry in the feed, e.g. X percent for your editor, X percent for the hosting platform, X percent for any music creator's stuff you used etc.

About the Tablets on the back of front seats, it is like IPad will be able to be connected as screen. By default they will provide Xiaomi pad 6s. Also first patch of the cars have been shipped already, about 50000 vehicles.

Sounds like you guys need to do a special (interview) episode with the Podcast 2.0 guys. The new (open) spec allows for a lot of the things you guys spoke about and the next gen podcast apps allow you to stream Satoshi's (Bitcoin) to the wallet of the podcast owner and much more.
