Yeah me too. No interested for solo wildcards. And i think this year GBB change 180° from the past

@@Rindaman8 GBB itself imo is improving, at least from 2021. But the level for wildcards is lower for solos as most means of qualifying are through winning international battles-- so it might be a more competitive year in that regard since there's more experienced bbxers As for loops, oh none of you are ready.. Check out Raje and Cardona's wildcards. Gonna be the craziest year.

Good observation and summary of your analysis bro, esp with the yodel conclusion to bring your point home. It was long predicted that musicality was going to take over the direction of beatbox, and this is another expression of that sentiment, but what I am really fascinated by is how many beatboxers are creatively implementing musicality and structured songs with technicality, and doing this with their own flair and unique sound combinations. This isn't a musicality takeover - it's a comprehensive musicality integration - and this has been LONG overdue. This will make beatbox both evolve to the next level for the beatbox nerds like us AND make beatbox infintely more accesible for the general audience. This, I think, will empower beatbox as art and make it more of a financially suitable path. Beatboxers like Show-Go were simply ahead of the curve with this trend but now it's becomming the norm. Taras Stanin found his own niche and is likely, out of seemingly nowhere, the most viral beatboxer on the planet right now.

Definitely that and the tooth whistle are very trendy, personally I think they’re a bit overused but that’s just common for interesting sounds, same thing with lip rolls back in 2015 and 2021-22 with poh scratch

Onmy side I saw a lot of beatboxers taking inspiration on River "slow" style, focusing on melody even at the price of not having really hard hitting sound that mark the tempo, unfortunatly I didnt found that they did as good as the original inspiration ! But yeah as always beatboxers love to reproduce what they heard and especially when it sounds good !

This new type of beatbox is really good in itself, but for me personally it's not suitable for battles. It's good for a showcase or a UKposts video to cover a song. That's it.

While I love the technique, I've always avoided using it with the worry of sounding unoriginal. It's a go-to approach for “musicality” and I don't know how well it will work in a battle for younger beatboxers…

I really hate the vocal flipping sound in beatboxing. It was ok when a few did it when it was used right, but now its used by so many people in really jarring and bad ways. It just makes the whole scene feel like a bunch of kids going through puberty. Theres a reson why people call out when someone voice cracks, and its not for a good reason. Obviously Captain Yodel is an exception...😀
