He is very intelligent and highly educated. He has MSc in Physics or similar subject. Possibly went to do PhD too but might be too bored or classical way of education...

Yep, I think it's a French surname. There was a French author called Perse who won the Nobel Prize for literature. So... Perse has even won a Nobel. I guess he was a badass.

People like different sounds, and while i never have found someone liking the sound of a vacuum cleaner, certain internal combustion engine sounds appeal to a number of people. The helmets and wind noise usually mean that while riding a motorcycle faster than 50 kph with an (in europe) street legal exhaust, the rider doesn't hear the engine noise anymore... For many that is comparable with not being able to listen to music in a car. -> lacking in experience they would want to enjoy. Of course there are also those who think 2-3 hp of a sports exhaust are the most important thing, those who just want to annoy others, and those who want to show off. But you have to give the loud pipes one thing: few of them get overlooked and as an effect hit by other participants in traffic. Even by "Smardiots". (a collegue at work states "loud pipes save lives". (personal experience long ago: my exhausts were pretty silent and legal and i got hit by a car because he didn't hear and see me even though he was right behind me for a while)

It makes economic sense. There a huge supply of stupid shit people say. He'll never run out of material.

Wernherr von Braun, the man who put people in the moon - would have used a rake. It is very silent indeed. Just not as profitable to sell, not as fuelthirsty as a leaveblower, and it doesnt break down as often. So it would be really bad for business but good for the user.
