With the way the world is today, I would love to take my family, animals and move to that island.

My grandmother experienced something very similar. She went in for open heart surgery and the world was fine. Once she was awake and had full awareness of her mind and body, it was three days later. She woke up at the very beginning of the pandemic when everyone was quarantined and the whole world was shut down. My grandfather was the only one allowed to go and see her while she was in the hospital for a few days, even he had a small window of when he could go see her. In her words, “It’s like I’m in the twilight zone.”

This reminds me of the month that Pokémon Go became popular. I came back from camp and everyone I knew was outside playing this strange game that I’ve never even heard of before. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to rejoin the rest of humanity when the entire world has fundamentally changed over your vacation.
