I don’t care for Adesanya, but the amount of hate this guy gets for simply being a weirdo is unreal. He obviously doesn’t fit into the stereotype of a tough fighter but he still is an elite martial artists. Bro I think Strickland sucks. I liked Izzy before we started getting to know more about him. This interview made me appreciate Izzy more and made me realize that the MMA Community took Izzy for granted. Izzy is a true champ at least he cleared the division before asking to fight another champ in another division. Usman and Volk are another great example of true champions.

My annoyance with Izzy isn't that he won't fight Alex again, it's that Alex has tried and tried to bury the hatchet and even invited Adesanya to train together and for whatever reason Izzy continues to post stuff about Alex and continues to try the beef going. Like if you want it to be done then drop it, the only reason Alex called him out again was because Izzy continued to talk

It's great to see Izzy here. No race baiting from the interviewer, DJ really makes fighters feel comfortable talking about things he relates in his life and overall fun convo throughout. Hope he get's back to fighting soon. If only people stopped bashing so negatively on the comments but it's the way it is... one can't have ass kissers all over. Izzy leaving the ironic part out of the fight he won, Alex was actually looking way better than him, and he was winning the fight compared to the other 3. Him saying he was in this state of mind so locked in, but he was actually getting outclassed in the 4th fight. Alex got careless and Izzy slept him. It's taking nothing away from the win, but it's just funny him saying all of that lmao.

I wish he didn't make the mistake of thinking his lane should be the money mayweather type heel. He's terrible at it. His real personality(that you can see in like 99% of this interview) is way more compelling and more than enough to sell fights as the hero.
