Iran's top diplomat said his country has told the US that it is not seeking escalation after an unprecedented attack on Israel. Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who is in New York to attend a UNSC meeting, said Iran has sought clarity with the US. Iran has "tried to tell the US clearly" that it is "not looking for the expansion of tension in the region," said Amir-Abdollahian. Iran carried out its first-ever direct attack on Israel on April 13, firing some 300 drones and missiles.
