Prince Philips' funeral was an uncluttered service, allowing us to take a closer look at how the family interacted. Body language expert, Dr Louise Mahler, analyses each family member's behaviour. Plus, she touches on lip-reading between Prince William and Prince Harry.

May be Charles was just too sad to think about walking and marching protocols etc... can we see others as just normal humans who lost a loved one
@pollyanna1112
@pollyanna1112 3 роки тому
My thoughts precisely. Charles’s grief would be immense as not only has his lost his father, who has been his male patriarch for 70+ years, but Charles is astutely aware that with his dads death, his very elderly mother, who turns 95 in a week, will be emotionally alone. Charles knows how much his mother has relied upon, turned to, been comforted by, been supported by and mostly, been loved by, is no longer there beside her. The void left by his dads death in his mother’s life, will require Charles to step up in some different capacities to normal. He would also be very aware, I imagine, that here he is, walking behind his dads coffin and it makes the thought of his mother’s death being a tangible reality too. Often, we don’t like to think of our parents as getting to that time in life where they will inevitably die, they’re often our unsung heroes, but saying goodbye to your 99 year old dad, knowing your mother is almost 95, and that at 95 she is still working daily. Charles I’d now the patriarch of the family, personally and professionally, he is the example for his younger siblings too. Such an enormous burden and even greater grief. Of course he was somber and walked his own pace until the rhythm of the drums automated his footsteps

It's just another stick to beat the Sussexes with. The propaganda tactics and character assassination the Royal Family have allowed to be perpetrated in a bid to sabotage the Sussexes is not unlike the propaganda campaign waged on the Germans during the second world war. It's insane Harry is Prince Charles' son and Prince William's brother why this level of mendacity and malice. Surely they cannot be that insecure because one member of the family is seemingly more popular. They have left the country. They're not involved in the Royal Rota or palace intrigues. They're living independent of the Firm. Why is it so hard to just leave them alone to get on with their lives? . It's as if they think they're on a war footing! We were all there when she passed away and everyone but my mom and I who took care of her were upset and crying but I was happy for her. Most people would say that’s so sick how could you be happy she died but they don’t understand unless they see it that sometimes a persons body fails to the point that they cannot live long before they die. Harry isn't my favourite person right now but wow, so he tapped his order of service on his leg. What a crock. He was surrounded by hostile family, his grandfather had died and he'd pretty much done everything wrong. I'm amazed he made it through the ceremony without legging it. Plus, the person who dragged him down to this deeply humiliating moment wasn't even there to face the music with him. Harry has committed many indiscretions but he did the right thing, finally, by coming back to honour his grandad. Sadly, since then he's turned the heat up on his less than kingly behaviour. I stopped watching. It felt like taking advantage. Isn't there is a phrase, "mad with grief", where one might say or do anything? Any such moments in any family should remain unremarked upon and certainly not minutely scrutinised. The Royal family behaved magnificently on a very bleak day and honoured a remarkable man.

The “big hats” are called bearskins, pretty basic knowledge. Glad the lady presenter put her in her place by saying the guardsmen would have considered it a privilege to be there, they certainly wouldn’t have wanted anyone’s pity.

I’m hoping that presenter went off the air and removed that woman from any further interviews. I think by the time that slot was up she was thoroughly embarrassed to have invited such a tone deaf idiot onto the show.

Harry went on NATIONAL television and tried his best to destroy his own family and it had to be awkward when they probably felt like smacking the crap out of him....he's just so disrespectful

Harry knew his captor was watching his reaction on tv. Had he shown respect, he would probably have had to deal with Megapaus's rage.
