Once heard a story about a ship that sank some time in the ‘30’s I believe, when the navy attempted to help but it was too dangerous to try and rescue the survivors. The water was very cold, and anyone in it would die within minutes. One man, knowing this, floated past the navy, waving and yelling to the sailors “taxi, taxi.” True courage.

Why’s nobody talking about the guy at the end yelling “who’s next for the shower” in the middle of a battlefield😂😂

The Roman military had pretty high standards for their soldiers, but one of the qualities they looked for was a sense of humor for this exact reason; you can take a crappy situation and have a laugh at it.

The way he just says the joke and smiles with a thumbs up followed immediately by a guy on the radio saying they are taking heavy casualties is pure movie timing

This was randomly recommended to me on my homepage and I decide to watch. Even in his most tough times you got at least have some sense of humor and this soldier proved it. Edit: I cannot believe this was since 2007... you never know what you do will just randomly pull up that's years old.

This is actually a more wholesome and deep video than you would expect because even in some of the worst situations imaginable like war, you can still find escapism from some incredibly dark situations. That can be a way to survive. If you don’t have a sense of humor, there’s no way you can make it through life.
