I just know that siblings are the ones who are supposed to travel through this life alongside us. We share our childhoods, we share our school years, we get jobs, get married, have kids... siblings are there at every stage. That includes getting old one day. You're supposed to still have your siblings in your life when you retire and your hair turns white and grandchildren start being born. It's a lifelong relationship and sure you can have lifelong friends you met in kindergarten and you stay friends your whole lives, but siblings are blood. There's a difference. It's just still so hard to accept that he's not going to be by my side for the next 40 or 50 years. How old was your sister? Were you very close friends? How are you coping with the loss? I hope you are doing as well as can be expected considering the loss you've experienced. 💜
