He was a child. But Sirius was a child too. Sirius only had the support system because he searching for one, and Regulus not. Sirius was literally torturing in his own family, he only has the support outside the home. In his home, he never was beloved and he never was safe.

@@xnapellus I think that for Regulus, Sirius was that support system, the support system he lost when Sirius decided to leave without him. So I can see where Regulus' resentment comes from. Moreover Sirius was not the only one tortured in the family, maybe he got it worse because he was the oldest rebel brother, but I'm sure that all the frustration and anger the parents felt when Sirius left, they threw it all on Regulus.

Oh, and what Sirius said "He is more my brother than you ever were" was uncalled for, imagine what Regulus felt hearing that.

Is not that I think is all Sirius' fault, they both did things wrong and it's really sad seeing how they treated each other when we know that they never really got to fix their problems before Regulus' death. Not Sirius ever got to know that Regulus chose to fight against Voldemort, that he chose the right path.

@@cookiecat7759 It is indeed socially inacceptable to be a death-eater, but is it not a family's job to have your back? Now I don't know about you, but I can't see Walburga or her husband doing that for Regulus, while Remus had the support of the Marauders. To Regulus (my interpretation), his brother couldn't care less for him and has given him up, so keeping in mind that he seems like a rather logical person: The solution would be to do whatever his parents deemed fit to at least have a familiar relation with somebody (apart from Kreacher). Of course, that is only my humble opinion, and you can interpret their relation and think however you want to. Also, good on you for reading that unnecessarily long paragraph, God knows I wouldn't have the patience 😅

@@salazarfrost9023 i mean, I kinda get your point, I don't 100% agree. i get that Regulus grew up in a cult-like household, and it seems like betrayal for sirius to leave them, but sirius also grew up in that family. it would've been horrible if Sirius had stayed, sirius had found his true family of people who accepted him. regulus may feel betrayed, but that shouldn't necessarily be sirius's problem, he has his own well-being to be thinking of, y'know? i don't think i'm explaining that well lmao

Where did you get he bullied his own brother? We only know that it was Snape who was bullied? Plus I’m sorry, they were in the wrong for bullying but they are not the reason why most people became death eaters come on now… that’s such a weird thing to say to me? Like they became death eaters because they hated muggleborns and were into dark magic? Snape and his gang were worse than James and Sirius? They called people slurs, would use dark magic on muggleborns ans call it ‘fun’ Lily literally called them evil. Regulus became a death eater in canon because he worshiped Voldemort, he stuck stuff up in his room filled with things Voldemort and death eaters did and wore his support proudly. Which is why Sirius didn’t want anything to do with him. Sirius and James wasn’t the reason in the slightest that regulus or anyone became deatheaters, they did that on their own and Sirius had every right to leave that situation, all he knew was that regulus was a supportive death eater. And he was, despite what headcanons the fans made up, regulus was a legitimate supportive deatheater. He just changed his mind after how Voldemort treated Kreature. Again I’m not saying their bullying of Snape which is all we know of is right, but I find it very odd when people act like they’re the reason that people became deatheaters… especially saying most of them? Come on now. James and Sirius hated them because of their love of the dark arts and being supportive of Voldemort already. Plus like I said there’s a reason no one liked Snape, it was because he was awful to minorities in school and was known for dark magic. He wasn’t this loner quiet nerdy boy people act like he is.
