I remember driving with my ex fiancé listening to this song and singing it to each other. We felt things coming apart and still tried keeping it together. Now Im singing and driving to this song alone. How I wish I could go back in time and see things more clearly, and be more wiser. Loosing someone you love is literally like loosing apart of yourself. To me this song has more than one meaning to me. I'm a combat vet that has PTSD and has lost my marriage of 12 years over it as well as suffering from multiple mental disorders like depression and anxiety. A lot of run ins with the law and failed relationships. My life has been torn apart. Bridges have been burned and that's ok. To me this reflexes on all that but it also tells me you need to pick up life where you can, and start a new. There are struggles in life that no matter how hard you try it might not work so just let it go. You can only be you and others are going to be others. So just let it go!

I see people in the comments relating this song to breakups, but for some reason, it just doesn't make me think of heartbreak. It sounds to me more like a sort of sorrowful love song, maybe about someone comforting someone they love with depression.
