Is it possible to solve this by just using prime factors of 75 and 45 in 2 lines or is this a special case? 3^x . 5^y = 75 and also 3^1.5^2 =75 Hence x = 1 and y = 2 and 3^y . 5^x = 45 using prime factors 3^2 . 5^1 = 45 hence y=2 and x = 1 confirming the above
