Minecraft: Java Edition (formerly just Minecraft) is the original version of Minecraft, developed by Mojang Studios for Windows, macOS, and Linux. Notch began development on May 10, 2009, publicly releasing Minecraft on May 17, 2009. The full release of the game (version 1.0.0) was on November 18, 2011, at MINECON 2011.
Bedrock Edition (officially subtitle-less; also known as the Bedrock editions, Bedrock versions, or just Bedrock) refers to the multi-platform versions of Minecraft developed by Mojang Studios, Xbox Game Studios, and SkyBox Labs and based on the Bedrock codebase. The latest Bedrock Edition version is 1.18.2.
Although all Bedrock editions are nearly identical, the price[note 1] varies depending on the platform. The Android version costs US$7.49 (£5.41), while the iOS/iPadOS and Fire versions cost US$6.99 (£5.05). The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions cost US$19.99 (£14.45). The Windows version costs US$26.99 (£19.51), and the Nintendo Switch version is the most expensive, costing US$29.99 (£21.68). DLC purchased from the Marketplace on one platform is usable on all other platforms, but the game itself is sold separately on each platform. Xbox Live achievements are not shared between platforms and buying the game on one of these platforms does not get the game on the others. The Xbox One and Windows versions are also playable to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass subscribers respectively, with both versions playble to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. The biggest difference I think between the two Minecrafts is part of the redstone, being that several Java circuits don't work in bedrock and there are some bugs that don't work too

I like how this video shows goods and bads about each version instead of just “Java good bedrock bad” or the other way around. Another difference I’ve noticed is how for some computers, the Java textures can seem kinda plain, and the grass grows like CRAZY, while some computers with Java don’t. Weird…

You can also mix the colored water as well. For ex: you can mix white dye with purple dye to get a lavender color and dye your leather armor with.

The menu save one doesn't work on Bedrock because it is Primarily a multiplayer. So friends can join in randomly so the game is constantly going even if you go to the menu

Honestly, both versions are cool, there are times I appreciate having Bedrock and times I wish there were Java features but I enjoy the game nonetheless. Also! Uhm- if this comes out as rude I do apologize I don't mean it but at 0:45 I did the portal thing once in Bedrock and the portal stayed. Idk how, maybe it was the version (1.12 maybe) that made it possible 🤷♀️

About *timestamp: 5:56 * in bedrock, ofc we can’t x-ray glitch by using pistons but we use boats for x-ray glitching. Basically (for mining in caves and trying to find amethyst geodes) you mine 4blocks long 2blocks high, then on the 3rd block, you place the boat and try going left or right in the wall, if the boat didn’t go through the wall on the left/right side of the wall, try the other side. If the boat is like in the wall (like one part of the boat), slowly go to the direction the boat is in... and be careful when doing this bcuz you may suffocate from going too much into the wall to x-ray

0:30 Minecraft Java used to do the bedrock visuals. If you go back to 1.8 you'll see it. Alternatively, there are shader packs that look pretty while also bringing it back so you can still use 1.18. There's probably a mod that does it too without shaders.

for me the two versions are good because each one has its characteristics that the other does not have, for example in bedrock it seems unrealistic to me that if a reed falls on you while you sleep nothing happens to you or that if you throw something at a boat it crosses it, and The same thing happens in Java. It also seems unrealistic to me that you can't paint the water or that the cacti float or don't break when you remove the bottom part. In short, each one has its own, and I also want to say that I have both versions on my PC and I like them both and play them.

I have noticed a difference a few days ago when I was trying to build a church and use coral as a furry curtain: in BE, coral instantly die even if it is put on a waterlogged slab in JE, even if the coral is put on solid blocks, it can last a while before dying, and it can constantly survive when placed on a waterlogged slab

3:23 plus and minus in bedrock the bed goes under water and in java it removes water. You can't sleep underwater in bedrock (which is logical) and in java it is possible (where is the logic?!)

Fun Fact: In Bedrock Edition, when the End Portal frames were removed, the portal itself doesn't disappear, just like Java Edition (This is a bug that's been patched, unfortunately). Fun Fact number 2: The water inside Cauldrons in Bedrock Edition is darker than the colour in Java Edition. Fun Fact number 3: Crawling / Swimming is much faster in Bedrock Edition.

step 1: come to mineshaft step 2: find iron and craft shears step 3: find cave spider nest step 4: mine cobweb with shears step 5: decraft cobweb into string step 6: craft wool from string step 7: dissasemble wooden constructions in the mineshaft step 8: make beds on crafting table(if you don't have it craft it from that planks) step 9: repeat from step 4 to step 8 many times Now you have a weapon against ender dragon

Java sunsets are just so much more beautiful... I'm glad I have Java, I don't need fancy dyes. (both are fine and both have their pros and cons, although I'm pretty sure Java is the official Minecraft... but they are both fun, thats what counts)

Another thing that remains to be clarified is that bedrock is better optimized I put the 12 chunks in java and it already puts me at 8fps but in bedrock I put it at 31 with the graphics at maximum and it already puts me at 30 fps Bedrock beats him in optimization :) 6:05 in bedrock it is different but easier you have to grab sand or any gravity block once that make sure you are not in a small area there has to be a space to get out Then you put the sand on top of you until it covers you and if it is going to hurt you then look for the position to activate the x ray

Fun fact:you can name the spawn egg and the mob will have that name so for the jeb_ thing you can name a sheep spawn egg jeb_ and when you place it the sheep will have the name jeb_ and it works for every spawn egg so a bit less time to waste using a name tag i hope you like and use this information for next time😁
