"I don't have memories in English" is an interesting insight

IT is true. I have being using English everyday for the last 12 years of my life and I still think and dream in Spanish.
@katanavx0331
@katanavx0331 Місяць тому
Happens a lot when English (or for anyone else, when the language being used in the video/show/film) isn't their primary language (hence the "mother tongue" mention by Javier). I oftentimes think in Spanish, even if I don't realize the words coming out are in English. It also tends to explain why I might slow down when speaking in English (especially to a natural English speaker), as I'm translating my Spanish thoughts as I speak. Unless my answer is rehearsed beforehand, it would make me seem like I speak in a slower than normal tempo. 😅

I met him in Brisbane when he was filming for pirates of the Caribbean. I was working at a burger chain called Grilld and he sat outside and had his friend order. I asked if he would let me have a picture with him if he had some time. He was very friendly and made some jokes (no no that is my brother not me), I delivered his food later on and let him be not wanting to bother him. After finishing he came and waved his hand at me and asked if I would still like the photo before he left. Got a great pic and a great memory as a young hospo worker. Top guy.

When I look at Javier Bardem he was magnificent playing the villain in 007 Skyfall. But looking closely at him he is excellent playing the father of or as the ultimate main antagonist in a live-action alternate Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Black Ops, and Ghosts combined version.

9:54, that's an amazing analogy about putting the team and the objective before yourself.

Remember when he and his wife were supposedly black listed by the Hollywood big wigs for speaking out against the Israeli government's questionable conduct in the region. If that's true, someone owes someone a big apology. So glad to see he's still going strong with great roles in big movies. Also I heard Penelope was fantastic in Ferrari!

0:46 PERFECTLY put. As a nativa spanish speaker too, I understand fully the feeling of disconnect with English as we have no memories or emotions with it, but saying the same thing in spanish triggers the amygdala bad! Emotions go crazy. It makes me scared and super shy! But English its like ah wtf😂

He was AMAZING in Dune 2. Definetly took the movie to another level with his performance although the movie was already really good itself.
