The thing I love most about hip hop is seeing the progression in not only production value and the lyrics of the records but the progression over time in the mentality of the artists themselves. Getting to see a young hungry, sometimes hostile/reckless competitively flamboyant rapper evolve and transcend into a philanthropic mentor who gives you the game in such an effective and poetic way while building up the people around them intentionally creating millionaires. I don’t think that many artists like Jeezy don’t get enough credit for this

2 of my favorite artists ever. Yal don't know how influential these men were at the peak of their careers and still to this day. It's crazy cuz on the mic these two have polar opposite deliveries and tones yet they are rapping about similar things. For Jeezy once I heard "last time I checked I was the man in these streets, they call me residue I leave blow on these beats" it was over from there, you have to realize nobody was coming like that he literally changed rap. Then for my beloved gucci...Chicken talk is what truly made me a fan and the rest is history. I have many enjoyable memories thanks to these two iconic musical geniuses, they are forever goated.
