@J Ger I mean obviously he wasn't phenomenal at it, but music is something that takes a long time to get good at, talent only takes you so far and he clearly found something he either likes more or is better at. I only like to imagine a world where he spent time on music and got really good, it doesn't seem we live in that world however.

It isn't bad, but the original with Kenny and Dolly was 10x stronger. Not had for a guy who's a host / comedian though. I'm surprised she isn't stronger in voice like she should be to portray dolly. Think both their mic's were down too low for some reason.

It might have been auto tuned but then maybe the original was auto tuned too. Also it could have been pre recorded then lip suck live. Who knows what's live or real any more. But, it was good.

Bill Kennedy actually Dollys voice is nowhere near as strong as Miley’s , and Miley’s technical training as a vocalist is way Superior any true singer or person who has studied music And I am a singer and studied music in college so I have done both would agree. Not to take away from Dolly’s charms though Dollys has a very beautiful and unique sound but technically and power wise Miley sings circles around Dolly and that’s just reality. Kenny Rogers has way better technique than Jimmy but in the original performance was lazy about extending his notes which is very descriptive of his love singing he cheats a lot bit has an amazing voice . Lastly Dolly and Kenny were lovers so maybe what you notice in the original performance is that chemistry but don’t confuse chemistry for better singing because mailer is a way better vocalist . 💪🏻🙏🏻

Jimmy’s voice wasn’t quite right not that he couldn’t sing- I just thought his voice was a different quality but since I can’t recognize Kenny Rogers anymore anyway this was perfect. Haha, all in fun. I have always loved listening to Kenny Rogers. He really is one of my favorites.

I would say that this song is about 80% pop and 20% country. Since the late 70s, most of Dolly and Kenny's music was made to appeal to a wider, more mainstream audience, and they used the country music genre as a launchpad to cross over to the pop charts. And they did it very well.
