The snowball fight scene with the African song and dance was the BEST, especially when Forest Whitaker was gettin it! My 2.5 year old son makes me replay it over and over!

Everyone’s talking about the dance in the snowball fight but did anyone notice in Make It Work, the dance scene, that under the woman’s skirts (and also throughout the movie) you can see a variation of different African fabrics. I just love this movie! It worked wonders. The representation tho!

Gbese! Gbese! Gbese!!!!......Kudos Netflix for the dope representation......it's good to realise that Africans subscribe in huge numbers too; from Nigeria and Ghana to the east, south and even northern Africa.....it seems like a small thing but its a huge thingy to us....my kids love it.....they jamming to this all day....thank you loads.......And as for Forrest, he can come jam in Lagos anytime he wants...he'll fit right in with his steps...... :)

All the dancing was incredible, but my take after seeing all those scenes grouped together like that is we need to make dressing like that commonplace. I adored those outfits, especially the daughter when she was singing Make it Work.

It's a musical, so there's going to be singing and dancing to advance the story or plot - not action. It may, indeed, become a Broadway play (once we get COVID under control) and the dance sequences might become longer - who knows? But I think this movie got the ration right. Not too over indulgent in the singing and dancing - and what they did add in was MAGNIFICENT! I loved the compositions, the choreography, and the costumes. If you haven't watched it - why would you assume it has anything that takes up too much time? Just watch it - then come back and say whether or not that statement is still true for you. If you think it does - that's ok, too. Not every thing is for every one. I, personally, loved it and I'm not a fan of musicals whatsoever.
