People I agree with, people i don't and those in the middle, where I don't mind hearing them out. I'm learning more about other viewpoints and mindsets. @@samiamgreeneggaandham- I was diagnosed with CPTSD a few years ago which is basically multiple traumatic experiences that are each capable of causing PTSD. I have spent about 5 years being treated for it. What happens to the brain is a normal response to an abdominal injury. Just like you will form a scar when you cut yourself, the lower brain area which is responsible for immediate detection and response to danger becomes overly developed. The problem is that this part of the brain has a tendency to take over and wants to run the show. It will react before you are consciously aware and when it does then you don’t have access to the prefrontal cortex which is the problem solving part and does the higher order thinking skills. So you end up with a superpower for survival which is a very good survival tool but it’s not a good living skill. Conversely operating in the prefrontal cortex is a good living tool but it’s not a good survival tool because it takes too long when it’s a life or death situation and you have to respond immediately. So the reason why therapy takes so long is that you have to build new pathways to connect the lower brain to the upper brain. That doesn’t happen unless you are doing it intentionally. Otherwise the survival part will just override the other parts. You come to rely on survival because it saves your life in an emergency and therefore it’s not just difficult but nearly impossible to shut it off when it’s already activated before the frontal cortex is. If you don’t have the wires to connect from one area to the other then you can’t switch from survival to living very easily when you’re activated by a stimulus. And the stimulus is activating the low brain before you are even aware it happened. So suddenly you don’t feel safe and you’re hit with a fight or flight response and all is was was a sound or smell or look on someone’s face or a black car coming from the right or someone taking a step towards you. Anything that happened before or during the trauma can become a trigger to switch off the cognitive function and switch on survival. I did Nuro feedback therapy and when they did the brain scan, they could see the brain waves for PTSD were in the 90th percentile on the other brain waves were in the 10th percentile. After treatment I was able to get my brainwaves to function closer to a more normal range. I had already had a couple years of therapy before that but then I was attacked by an armed carjacker who fired 26 rounds at me at close range and I shot and killed him. It made it very difficult to negotiate with my lower brain to let go and let the cognitive brain run the show. It wanted to switch to survival 24/7 and that’s an exhausting way to live. Hopefully you’ll find that helps understand the nature of PTSD as a natural response to trauma that is life saving but also becomes a double edged sword.

And we can be sure that Jesus is the Son of God because on the 3rd day God raised Him from the dead and in that He defeated death and the grave, proving that He can do the same for us if we put our faith in trust in Him. That's how you get to Heaven. That's how you become full in your heart. That's how you become reconciled to the God who created you.

Two weeks ago I made $1,900 and last week I worked 3 days and made $1,100. I went from living off of VA disability and SNAP (food stamps) to looking at making $80,000 next year in a matter of 2 weeks.

I’d say aiming to count yourself among them is by definition “pedestalize”-ing them.

Pedestalizing would be saying "These men are so great and unique, i could never be like that". I just saw a lot of people in the comments making them out to be something more than well educated and disciplined men.

Yes especially how a lot of people today idolize and think of celebrities as “gods”.

One thing I've always told myself is to never idolize anyone.
