Absolutely. thats his gift, explaining concepts that the layman can understand. i went to see Michio Kaku a few years ago having read a couple of his books and felt the talk was directed at schoolchildren, he explained everything like he was talking to a bunch of school kids when in fact it was a hall full of adults who had most likely read his books, the best part of the night was when the audience got to ask questions. thats when the real in depth stuff got talked about. there were heaps of super smart people in the audience that were well educated and could grasp the concepts and got to the really indepth stuff and thats when it got interesting, if there had been no q&a from the audience it would have been boring as shit. Brian Cox has the gift of explaining stuff that we normals can understand without being treated like dumbos. He's by far the best at conveying these concepts in a way most people can grasp. And best of all you can tell he's completely absorbed ih his field, he clearly loves sharing his knowledge in a way normal folk can understand. seems to be devoid of ego, just full of wonder, I think he is fantastic,

And have assembled themselves spontaneously into temporary structures that can think and feel and explore. And those structures will decay away at some point. It's pretty clear Joe reads a lot, and obviously one mostly reads about topics that interest them. For example, Joe's main interests clearly aren't history, art or other humanist studies, so you can't expect the same amount of compelling conversation about - for example dance - than science etc. My interests include history, philosophy and other subjects that require "thinking and wondering" but I couldn't care less about sports, so I would either refuse a couple-hour conversation about football or sit there and try to think about something seemingly clever to say and look like an oblivious idot.

Those Hancock convos you see him come out, he has a proper grasp of mentality perception understanding history humanity human nature future science the guys what we call in the UK clued up. So the teacher has to be the one to engage, that's what they should be paid to do.. Teacher can't be the one to feed off of student responses, atleast for the first few weeks as the students get accomodated to the subject.

Han Goku. And you’re right - at least if it’s true that the amount of energy in the universe is a constant. Then we truely do live forever (just as different atomic configurations)

In the 1980s and early 1990s, Cox was a keyboard player with the rock band Dare.[18] Dare released two albums with Cox - Out of the Silence in 1988 and Blood from Stone in 1991. He subsequently joined dance act D:Ream,[19] a group that had several hits in the UK charts, including the number one "Things Can Only Get Better",[20] later used as a New Labour election anthem

I'm not a scientist but I think what he's saying is if you used a laser, and pointed it over the horizon you would see the Earth curvature, while when it's used in space, there is none.... If I remember correctly they used a couple of lasers, and pointed them in such a way as to make a < shape. There was no measurable curve that you would expect in a sphere shaped expanding universe.
@jamesmorseman3180
@jamesmorseman3180 4 роки тому
@@RickySpanish12344 easier to think of it as that on the largest scales, parallel lines will stay parallel forever, and the angels of a triangle add up to 180 degrees. Neither of those would be true in a universe with positive or negative curvature. He doesn't mean flat as in the universe is 2D (which it might be btw check out the holographic principle) he just means that geometry is the same as it would be on a 2D surface which is the whole parallel lines and triangle thing.
