Very under rated movie.?excellent re-make.
@evertonporter7887Рік тому
The 1971 original will always be the best, but I really liked this one, as it was completely unpretentious and its own thing, with Stallone throwing more punches than Rocky Balboa LOL.
@markthomas92732 роки тому
Sylvester Stallone got smacked with that black jack and didn’t even flinch. He was a tough dude in this movie!!!
@kurtminault8564Рік тому
How John C McGinley ain't a household name is beyond me, his acting throughout his career has been stellar
@Vincent-yu7jd5 місяців тому
He's too much substance. If you're an actor with substance, making it to the top is more difficult BUT if you make it then you're at the very VERY top. Though, it's a longer, harder road than selling out and if you don't get to the top then you won't even make headway on those that sold out. Benicio Del Toro is another example of this.

My favorite Stallone flick. I ran into John C. at a Blue Man Group show in the mid 90s in NYC. Told him I thought he did great in American Gladiators which had recently aired. You could tell he really appreciated it
@SageofSorrow9 років тому
I'm guessing all those random as hell clips playing are suppose to be Jack mapping out the different scenarios in his head of what can happen. Really clever idea, but its still a bit jarring.

This scene is so incredibly funny to me as it is badass. Nothin like gettin your ass kicked to Christmas music.

To some of the "Johnny Come Latelies" (see what I did there? His name is John, some of you think...nevermind), this role precedes the whole "Scrubs" thing by a year or so. Not to mention, if you've seen the movies "Nothing to Lose", or "Truth and Consequences, N.M. (both came out around '97-ish), you'll notice that his "Dr. Cox" routine, is just a PG-13 version of stuff he'd been doing for years. Having said that, he's ALWAYS entertaining to watch! "Scrubs" was US catching up with HIM! Dude's been around a LONG time.

Thomas Wiilde if you haven’t need to watch Platoon war movie from 1986 where the smart ass Sergeant O Neil then played bad guys in Steven Seagal’s On Deadly Ground where gets destroyed by Seagal and in The Rock in 1996 as a rogue commando goes against Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage

Thanks mate, was really looking for this. As much as one can look for a video of Dr Cox getting destroyed.
@scottknode8986 років тому
Aldra Hill he gets killed by Steven Seagal in 1994s 0n Deadly Ground if look up On Deadly Ground clips or Seagal vs John C McGinley. He also goes Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage in The Rock from 1996 where plays a commando turned rouge.

Stallone has been in some ludicrously lousy movies where I don't even want to suspend disbelief... The mountain climbing turkey where a distress signal goes straight up when a helicopter rescue can't be staged because of... "High winds..." Where a novice girl climber does an epic, Alex style free solo... No ropes to be seen on the summit... Then there's the hysterical rubber mouth facial expressions in his boxing movies... a stand-up comic's gift... Then there's Stallone beating the Vietnamese army single-handedly with his monster gun trailing a used ammo belt... If only the US had him in the actual Vietnamese war... Stallone is a stand-up family guy with 3 lovely daughters and a wife in real life... Make a believable movie about that.

what a joke trying to remake an absolute classic gritty British film, I would have Maurice micklewhite, was have given it a massive swerve, but it's more shekels in the bank isn't it, the clue is in his name.

dr cox did too much comedy for me to take him seriously here
@scottknode8986 років тому
toxyoxin he has been in many action movies prior to Scrubs and has played several villains in The Rock in 1996 goes against Sean Connery and Nicolas Cage, On Deadly Ground with Steven Seagal and gets killed by Seagal . He was in the 1986 war film Platoon where played a smart ass similar to Dr Cox.

John C. McGinley is a very underrated character actor. You'll never see him in 1st billing for a movie or TV show but he has held his own in a 30 year plus career. He has been in 5 Oliver Stone movies and has held his own in scenes with numerous legends ranging from Al Pacino, Ed Harris, William DaFoe, John Candy, Tim Robbins, and many other well known and respected performers. He plays the bad guy/slick jerk well and can do numerous comedic roles.
@caza7282 роки тому
@@scottknode898 He was also the cop in Set It Off.

I love the films made In The USA but when they try to cover British Gangster Films ....................Do not bother, This has happened on a few occasions ...you miss the feeling and content ..basically you loose the plot ...I was very surprised that Michael Caine appeared In this version of Get Carter ..sorry to say this ..but this version was crap ..I say It as It Is If you have a any complaint from my comment "Get Yourself some Karate Lessons" (Watch The original version)
@H8123410 років тому
I love Johnny C. better than Stallone.
@alanlawrence2954Рік тому
How to take an iconic UK gangster flick and screw it up with too many dopey camera angles and crappy mind game variants... The real carter would have finished the two heavies off with lightning knife trusts to the carotid... If they were still using expensive film roles in a 35 mm movie camera... they'd be more sparing with their precious film stock... and my patience.
@santorini8423Рік тому
an abortion of a film. The supreme court banned terminating this?
@ZehoOriginality3 роки тому
Johnny C and Stallone can act. But this director can not direct.
