I am just speculating that Canelo Alvarez was avoiding a fight with Jaime Munguia because he wanted to protect Munguia's unbeaten record and not risk tarnishing his fellow Mexican's reputation. I am suggesting that Oscar De La Hoya, Munguia's promoter, may have played a role in dissuading Munguia from accepting the fight.
