wow. This song feels like finally letting go of something, but in a way where it’s almost like saying goodbye in the most triumphant manner possible. At the beginning it was bitter sweet, and then the last portion just elevated it to another level of depression I love it.

I feel like I've returned to this every month since it's released. The "music video" has always captivated me. Interestingly, there's no classification in the title that says "Music Video" or "Official Video", as if they're nodding to this being a clip compilation of stock footage. Nonetheless, I consider it my favorite music video of all time. It perfectly represents the art of pairing visuals with audio, and of capturing a vibe. This marriage of visual and sonic aesthetic is something I'd strive for as a musician or artist. The footage, in particular. Explosions and flames and harsh weather..... animals minding their own business in the dead of night..... dirt bikers. It's all so, neutral. Or rather, awe-inspiring. The instrumental of the song alone makes me contemplate the vastness and depth of our world, but utilizing footage like this (as if made to depict our world to an alien demographic to better understand our planet) couldn't have been a better move. I've always been curious about the thought process was -- for whoever created this. "Actual Objects" is all that's credited in the description. Would love to know what Joji's Team's prompt was for them. What the instructions were. And what aesthetic vibe THEY think they were trying to capture. All in all, this is a 10/10 work of art. By Joji, the song's other writers and producers, and the visual collaborators. I don't think I'll ever stop returning to this video.

Joji makes the most memorable depressing songs. After the saddest breakup I had, I would always listen to joji. Me and my ex are forbidden to talk or to see eachother so we communicate by jojis songs like these. It’s been 5-6 months since we broke up and now he moved on, leaving me still inlove with him. I hope he listens to this song because this is the last message I want to give him.
