And at the same time, he's asking these deep, thought-provoking questions that really get to the heart of the matter. It's like he's a master at drawing out the insights and perspectives that we all need to hear. It's really quite brilliant. Since I took this job at Steak ‘n Shake a year ago and got sober I have truly learned to be a people person by just trying when it came to customer service. I have become our best customer service person we have and was even promoted to customer service trainer before management. Been here for over a year now. In the beginning I thought I was above it and wanted bigger and better but learned to associate myself with the people I worked with, with the customers and see we are all just human beings trying to make it in life in some way. It takes effort but I learned to be kind, patient, and hardworking through the many 50+ hour weeks of working here. Will forever be thankful. I’ve finally learned to be a responsible young man. Obviously with many outside factors such as almost 2 years of consistent therapy and feeding myself content from individuals like Jordan Who just understand the struggle and know the way out. These podcasts are ideal. It's the perfect format to allow free-flow conversations and it allows the people to express their ideas in a more complete form.

I literally watch this episode every time I'm feeling overwhelmed by life, by my career (or whatever you call my attempt at building a business), by the heaviness of being such an overthinking person with many tragedies playing themselves out simultaneously... And somehow I've missed the bit about Stephen King until this evening! I have a small library in my room with a lot of philosophy, psychology, some mentally challenging literature (including Dr. Peterson), but the largest collection devoted to a single author in my collection is by FAR Stephen King. I am continuously finding new synchronicities that encourage my faith that I'm on a harmonious path with my purpose. Who knows if that'll turn out to be silly in the end. Kudos to you both for this high-level dialogue, and the mental synchronization. TEXAS PROUD :) Bless you both, man. Sincerely.

@@alexoolau JP is full of BS? OK, but I'd like to hear why you think so, as well as your expertise or background. JP has spent his entire adult life studying these subject matters critically. And yes, JP did interrupt Lex periodically...it's out of character for sure. Its not hard to conclude that, because all one needs to do is go and watch his various debates and or interviews to see that it's extremely rare that JP interrupts anyone...it's quite the contrary, and it is JP who regularly gets interrupted, all the while JP simply stops speaking allowing the rude interruption to finish while remaining calm and composed.

I LOVE watching jordon Peterson when he relaxes and sits back and has a discussion with someone like Lex. Jordon has put himself, every part of himself, out there on the chopping block, allowing us to witness him deal with his emotions, the same emotions that most of us have but keep hidden, for good reason. Seeing someone who has led a righteous life with morals and dignity and love for his fellow human being experiencing some of the same sadness a lot of us have for whatever reason has only helped us believe that maybe we’re not the only ones that feel just f’ed up and that something must b wrong with me (us) and maybe we brought these feelings upon ourselves and how pathetic we must be with very little hope of experiencing anything happy and good anymore. It’s a bad place to be…but him exposing himself has been enough for me at least to really believe that the good times really aren’t over for good…we make our lives the way they are on a daily basis, and all it takes is to wake up on any given day and tell urself that this day is gonna b different. Better. When those negative thoughts are fighting to get out, u tell them to F off and purposely say something positive to counteract it and move past it and stay busy. Tomorrow will b easier to do what u did today. And I keep at it. His critics would never put themselves out there like he does, and that’s why we all love and respect the man, IMO.

My first challenge was to just move my toes which took over a year to see results then it was practicing standing with a walker and another year of practicing. 1% improvement was my goal, roughly 1% per month with extreme efforts to see. Fast forward since then, I’m past 4 years of no fentanyl or any opiates,I now travel the western states with my dog Tigger in our bus motorhome. We walk everyday and our record is 3.5 miles in a day. That 3-hour long interview is masterfully articulated on complex notions and topics which most people can just about describe maximum in a sentient or two, and offers unique explanations with examples of analogies and paradigms, and then ties them together with other peripherally similar or completely dissimilar concepts, and all of a sudden various topics which I had no interest or knowledge over, they were brought into the conversation and in relation to earlier ideas and topics... suddenly I have a much clearer understanding of my own opinion, it is better informed and the picture I see suddenly expanded laterally by much! Thank you. Great work @lexfridman @jordanpeterson!

I downloaded this episode so I could listen to it on a long drive. I got mentally wild when Jordan talked about his going into a talk. If you've never done a live video, then you can't understand for one second what that is. And this man isn't doing a video, he's a living, breathing, human who thought about what he wanted to say to humans, who paid to hear him speak. The fact that he's not running off a script, but giving a literal piece of his soul to the people who paid to listen to him, just crazy. You go to a concert, these people are singing songs OVER AND OVER again, and that is beautiful, now imagine someone bearing their soul to you on the fly...I'm so excited by that.

I used to play bass in a band. Our biggest show was around 2000 people. And the energy before you take the stage. Everything is normal. But your about 2 or 3 feet off the ground. And as you begin you feel the energy in the crowd. Waves and waves of it. Like electric current It is the closest approximation of the experience of God to me.

I’ve noticed a difference in the way I treat all people. His love for people are an inspiration. As an introvert, it’s difficult to want to reach out and be social because I’m terrified that I’ll have an unfulfilling conversation with someone. After much time watching these episodes, I’ve learned to genuinely love people. That love has made me become more social and take risks on conversations. I have more friends now and consider myself a “mentor” of sorts to the younger men at my work. People such as Lex and Jordan are changing men world wide and I’m so excited to see how things will change because of it. What a wonderful thing!

The resentment Ive had for society as a whole has gotten the better of me. I want to talk to Jordan Bernt Peterson. And ask him why I shouldn't want to kill my whole family random women. Random men. Why I shouldn't resent and keep developing this righteous malevolence because of what has happened to me. I need a good reason to not go out in an explosive way like Jordan Bernt Peterson said don't do it but I can't not do it. Im past being capable of not thinking about it. I have to think about it all the time. I'm inherently obsessed with sadism nihilism hedonism sadness depression malevolence sexual gore everything immoral and reprehensible. I've also masturbated to that stuff in a sexual way you'd want to kill yourself to and go out with a bang. What society did to me is always blamed on males not even white anymore only males and that's why there's mentally ill males who think they're females. Those males are disllosuoned with masculinity and what if means to be a true man. I've masturbated to sexual images so deplorable I don't understand how why shouldn't I kill innocent people who made my pshycopathy possible. I don't understand why they can't take responsibility. And then wonder why boys shoot up schools churches and concerts mass gatherings of humans. I would slaughter them all too but I don't know why but now that I'm not an innocent little boy I can't simply live as if nothing hasnt happened with the world. So I need to send a message to the bastard Rockefellers who supported feminism. And made males feminine by food contaminating water and everything socially. I'm Hispanic. I want to meet Jordan how that one Hispanic kid met Jordan and Tammy. Jordan helped that hispanic young man with the broken relationship with his father. I want the same restoration. But I think it's impossible. I'm an unjustifiable ticking time waiting to explode I'm so unforgiving.
