Next up for Top Rank Boxing, WBO junior lightweight world champion Jamel “Semper Fi” Herring hopes the wait is finally over. Herring, a decorated U.S. Marine veteran from Coram, N.Y., will make his second world title defense Saturday, Sept. 5 against Puerto Rican challenger Jonathan Oquendo at the MGM Grand Conference Center. Herring and Oquendo were scheduled to fight July 2, then July 14, but Herring twice tested positive for COVID-19.
In the 10-round super middleweight co-feature, it’s a battle of the Midwest as Omaha’s unbeaten Steven “So Cold” Nelson takes on Toledo’s DeAndre Ware.
Herring-Oquendo and Nelson-Ware will stream live on ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET, with undercard action to stream on ESPN+ beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Postol clearly won this fight, outboxed Ramirez start to finish and rocked him several times with right hands but for some reason didn't go in for the kill. Andre Ward embarrassed himself during the commentary tonight trying to brainwash people into thinking Ramirez won all the early rounds smh, it's a bit hard to win rounds when you are constantly eating jabs on the way in and landing very little in return. Postol gave Ramirez a boxing lesson tonight.

SiLo Mixing and Mastering “clearly” you’re wrong. It was a competitive fight. Props to Postol. Wouldn’t consider this a boxing lesson OR a robbery.

Lucifer S. Oh ya I agree. This was a fight could have gone either way. I wouldn’t have been surprised with draw or close postol win. I was responding to the commen that he “clearly won” & postol gave him “boxing lesson”. That wasn’t case at all.

Lucifer S. Ok this I disagree with. It was a close fight but it wasn’t no robbery or anything to criticize judges bout. Tough fight to score. Could have been draw or gone either way. Didn’t seem like postol did enough to take two belts home for that but that’s my opinion

It is funny how these casual fans do not know shit about boxing. Saying that Ramirez lost to Postol is ridiculous, when Ramirez control most of the fight, put the pressure on and landed the best shots all night long, Postol fought a smart fight and he is a great fighter but no way he could have won this fight just fighting defensively vs the champion. Since when you can beat the champion by losing most of the rounds, getting rocked and fighting to survive. Postol has pride is not a walk in the park so stop hating and taking credits from Ramirez he won fair and square, what bugs me is that the same people criticizing Ramirez saw Rolly Romero from Mayweather`s camp winning against Marinez which the whole world know, has been one of the worst robberies in boxing history. If they call this fight a robbery they should watch Andrew Ward vs Kovalev 1 or Jose Luis Castillo vs Mayweather 1 those were some of the worst robberies in boxing history.

Well said...i watched the fights late so i saw the comments first b4 watchin the fight..comments read like if was a close fight or draw, so when i watched it, i was expecting to see Postol land punches and backup Rameriez...i seen nothing like that..Rameriez by unanimous decision
