I remember how lethal Ferrero's forehand was. No doubt Carlos must have had a lot of practice with him because there are aspects of his forehand shots that remind me so much of JC's.

Now that he has won the pressure is more on him than ever before....Consistency is the hallmark of greatness (Roger, Nadal et al...).
@wastefellow7166Рік тому
I had never seen him losing for not able to deal with pressure. It looks like he is ready to play the best players. He wanted to outperform them. He loves contest. Where is the pressure? Even Nadal looks like he doesn't want to play meet guys like Djoker, Fognini at highest level. While Nadal loves to have more titles, Alcaraz loves to enjoys meeting seemingly better players than him and also winning. A better version of Nadal. I wish other players take a leaf out of his mentality.
@bealove2023Рік тому
Oh come on!!! The kid has just started!!! He won his first grand slam at 19years old. Give him time to blossom before you judge him if he is great or will be one of the greats! Congratulations Carlos!!! Bring them on!!!
@wastefellow7166Рік тому
@@bealove2023 What he will become will be decided by the future. But let us see the reality. Players these days are peaking when they are near or above 25. Zverev, Tsitsipas, Medvedev, Felix, Khachanov looked promising in their early twenties they were not able to match big 3 on big stage. They weren't even consistent in general. But just look at this guy. He defeated Ruud, one of the most consistent players these days in a Grand Slam Final after playing three consecutive 5 setters. It's not that he is unnecessarily hyped. He already won 1000 masters titles. He has done what is expected form him. If some one says that he will be under pressure from now on must be ignorant of his hype. He was expected to do well at Grand Slams. The pressure is already there. Just look at how a player like Zverev crumbled under pressur at Grand Slams. The pressure is already there on Carlos. But he never cared about it. Atleast All these days I haven't seen Carlos bothered about the outcome. He always wanted to win the point he is playing right now. He has the Champion mentality. Carlos will stop when he feels that he has no motivation to win the point he is playing at this moment.
@MaxMustermann-zj6zcРік тому
I think the pressure was greater to win his first slam. And his potential to improve further is very large at 19
@divinitymode9364Рік тому
@@wastefellow7166 A long post…but a good one. Agreed. I think Carlitos’ magic ingredient is he LOVES it. Loves the challenge, loves the competition, loves the insane physical exertion. He’s very special and I believe he will be a very special champion.
@queent3343Рік тому
He looks so calm, but you know he is yelling we won, we won, inside.
@dv727Рік тому
This guy will be great. No doubt. But this level of expectation is not good. My prediction is he wins maybe 10 GS titles at best because others will raise their level. Best thing for Carlos is to stay tempered but easier said than done. I do wish he plays at this level forever😊
@oberdotРік тому
Don’t really have an opinion on that but I just want to say how amazing it is that thanks to Roger, Rafa, and Novak, we now think of 10 GS as “reasonable but not crazy” amount
@nethbtРік тому
Three consecutive 5 setters plus a win in the finals, that's unheard of, most players will just surrender with fatigue

@taopaille-paille4992Рік тому
Since when do they interviewe trainers after the finals. never saw that except maybe Toni Nadal when Nadal won his 10th French open.
@Zain-mg3ykРік тому
There are stories and articles that JCF feels he was ignored and overshadowed by Rafa in Spain. Some say its a source of pain for him. It seems Carlos will be his way to finally get the spotlight he feels he was robbed of. Looking at what he is doing now, interviewing and holding a smaller trophy, posing for cameras. This might be true. We dont see coaches do this, even former players, Grand Slam holders. 😄 New trend, should be interesting.
@Zain-mg3ykРік тому
It was also Toni's final year as Rafas coach, wasn't. He had announced he wasnt going to be travelling anymore.
@riggermorpusРік тому
It is entirely possible that Carlos could actually surpass the current top three players major titles race if he stays healthy. Carlos doesn’t really have any new generation rivals at his level, except maybe Sinner and Tiago on their best day. I don’t think anyone matches Carlos’ mental strength and belief to win.
@Victrola66Рік тому
I didn't know they interviewed coaches as well at slams.

@nethbtРік тому
Injury is his only enemy I guess, the kid can easily win 10 slams minimum before he reaches 30 yrs. What's scary is he is still relatively young and most tennis players reach their peak at 32 yrs old
@josealvim6596Рік тому
AGASSI INOVATED WITH END COURT GAME, NADAL INOVATED WITH THE COVERED COURT AND FAST GAME, DJOKOVIK INOVATE WITH STRATEGIC GAME, AND ALCARAZ DIDN'T INOVETED, BUT, DO IT FASTER THEN ANYOTHER!!!

Alcaraz speed on the court is just like Djokovic. other players have to counter his ability to fetch any ball with his speed.
@susanbuenaventura9915Рік тому
Really? He was born to win grand slam? Hopefully he will not suffer injuries.Its too early.
@fernandorodriguez4353Рік тому
