@Eternal Rambler once Acdc, iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Manowar and Metallica are retired... Who will hold the flag? There are new bands, but I just don't see that much charisma and personality in them and their music. I think they're el be a gap until we have some new really charismatic bands again. You know what I mean... A band that when you hear a few notes, you simply know who they are.
@dragonseye00
@dragonseye00 4 роки тому
@Eternal Rambler not really, I like killswitch engage, Gojira, etc... I'd add even a few more which are distinctive, yes.... But you don't get my point, I speak about big ones. I don't see those you mentuined filling a bit venue or stadium. Who will fill the big venues when they are gone, that's what I'm asking myself. But most probably it's these the "of" bands that continue to overshadow the modern bands, and once they are gone new bands will find their place in the spotlight

In a league of his own A villain with no morals Above the law and reckless Mutating day by day Invisible and silence Conspiring to get power This man will stop at nothing To always get his way Like a thief in the night With the blade held tight Trapped inside the mind Of the spectre When you're mind in a vice He twists and turns with terror Keeps building up the pressure Until you're feeling numb Like a thief in the night With the blade held tight Trapped inside the mind Of the spectre Trapped inside the mind Of the spectre The spectre creeps behind you Shrouded by his stealth Ignore him at your peril He kills to heal himself In the blink of an eye He marks you with precision Corrupting all he touches Salvation in your soul Scourging you in silence As he makes his incision The venom's taking over This tyrant takes his toll Like a thief in the night With the blade held tight Trapped inside the mind Of the spectre You'll be frozen in fright Like the glint of his knife Trapped inside the mind Of the spectre

just listened to the whole cd 3 times. A truly fantastic record from start to finish. I cant think of any other band thats been around since the 1960's who's still putting out albums that sound so full of energy, vigour, power and sound so fresh. The ONLY song i wasn't crazy about on the record was Flame Thrower, but other than that its pretty much gold from start to finish.This song and video are wicked, but I have to say Guardians/Rising From Ruins steals the show for me as the ultimate highlight of the record. Thank you to the Priest for still making amazing music after all these years!!!!! BUY IT

It’s 2022 and I’m revisiting Firepower videos. Firepower is a top Priest release for me. It’s amazing. The guitar of Richie really adds so much. I often wonder about how Glenn is. Sad what he is going thru. What a amazing career he has had. Legions of Metal/Priest fans know how important Glenn has been. He is a legend continued prayers guitar god!👍

How can Rob keep his voice this well after all this time?

Heard an interview with him where he spoke about that when on tour he didnt speak, he basically just was singing on the stage other then that he tried to not speak at all to conserve his voice

Onstage Halford and studio Halford are two different persons. It's nothing new... Halford has always been a beast on record and a bit unstable live, relying on high screams, charm and energy instead of perfection. Nowdays, he sounds deascent live. That's all.
