You hear Trump's rhetoric on your news, I may listen to CSPAN and other platforms, but our news IS NOT like the days of Walter Cronkite..most of it from corporate news, whether corporate middle (left is actually not represented, even if you think so) or corporate right like Fox or ONN is infotainment. What is heard in the courtroom is under oath and HAS to be backed by knowledge that is truthful under penalty of perjury. Therefore, the jury WILL hear evidence that you or I are not privy to AND has to be decided beyond a REASONABLE doubt. Therefore, no conspiracy theories, generalized statements are likely to be permitted. I can dislike someone intensely but still deal with facts whether good or bad. The void dire process allows both the defense and prosecution to weed out those who may be prejudicial on both sides.

You find people willing to put aside their personal opinions and rule based on evidence presented and laws in question. Like the Trump-Carroll civil trial where there was an open Trump supporter on the jury who still put aside those feelings and found him liable because that’s what they believed the evidence showed. That’s what jury selection is for, weeding out people who can’t or won’t be impartial
