@@greyfox4838 yeah my first 5k since I had only been running two times a week usually 2 miles I threw up after and was dead. But nowadays I can do a 5 k way faster and not feel too dead after. Just more practice and conditioning.

I won the State Championship in 8th and 9th grade and i literally just ran as fast as I could to get it over with quicker... I definitely passed out a few times after the race but that’s probably because I smoked weed everyday for years before cross country and track

I seriously thought I was dying after my personal race… crashed on the grass, spread eagle and just “didn’t care anymore”… and thanked God for the life I’d had… and then rested… never thought I’d actually wake up. God give you strength! :)

That's not true though. I think the whole "stand up" thing is ridiculous in general since you can physically breath better when bend over. That's why your body wants to do it when breathing heavily and also the reason why asthmatics are advised to specifically do this. Try bending over, hands on knees with slight arched back, then taking in as much air as you can and hold it. Then stand up straight. It doesn't feel that nice does it? You can't hold the same amount of air or breath as deep when standing straight up, shoulders back because your lungs are stretched a bit (like pulling on a balloon) and there's not the same room for expansion either.

@@Peterisheree that is not true at all, in cross country you are supposed to run so fast that you feel like you are going to die afterwards, I have way more endurance than someone on my team, and I am way faster, but I feel like I’m going to puke after the race because I push my body further

She could just be really fit. I’m a Cross Country and Track runner also. My PR’s are 27:51 at the 8k and 16:40 at the 5k. I kept improving my race times last fall and this past spring, yet it was rare for me to look like I was tired after a race.

It’s prob cause she had nausea and was on the way of passing out. Or she was so tired she couldn’t keep a good posture.
