I wouldn't mentioned SDR in relation to BRICS because SDR is USD-based. BRICS common currency is not union currency as EUR but more as a unit of account for trade, e.g. ECU and СЭВ (Council for Mutual Economic Assistance ) ruble. It is expected that BRICS common currency will be digital and pegged to gold (even certified bullions). Any country (include USA) will be able to joint this new digital ecosystem to use its national currency for cross-border payments. National currencies will stay within their national jurisdictions. BRICS common currency will be used for exchange between other currencies purposes and be hidden for the end-users.

I believe BRICS does not intend to come up with a single BRICS currency ..at least not for now, however, BRICS will announce that they will trade among themselves using ONLY local BRICS currencies ..and ALSO, they will sell/trade their goods/commodities and services ONLY in BRICS local currencies ..THIS IS enough to greatly speed up the de dollarization

Speaking about BRICS,I used to think every investor went broke during recessions, meanwhile some make millions. I also thought everybody went out of business during the Great Depression, but some went into business. Bottom line, there's always depression for some, and profit for others, it all starts from having the right mindset. I think the best way forward for non US dollar transaction is to use the Chinese gold backed Yuan as a medium of exchange .
