smart Son and Lloris, all the opponents are in the Tottenham box and Kane knew it, Lloris kicked the ball but unfortunately the angle was too curved so its bounce to high and made Son waits the ball first before he dribbled it to the penalty area. It gave opponents a bit of time to manage their defensive position immediately. However, the distance quite faraway, so Lloris needs to kicked the ball high and curving through the opponent heads.

I have some thoughts. Reckless play by Man City to give Tottenham the opportunity. Still an excellent hustle for the takeaway and beautiful assist by Hojberg. Romero's first yellow card was clearly an unnecessary terrible decision. Romero's second one was strategic in the closing minutes but it could've been dangerous because they had to play with a man short against a strong team. I'm not the only one thinking Perisic makes some terrible decisions right? Why didn't he just pass right back to wide open Son at 3:49 when Son's defender switched off and Son had great separation? I am always studying the sport and its strategies, so I had to replay this about 12 times because I wanted to understand Perisic's thought process. The only thing I can think of is that he is getting old/doesn't have good peripheral vision or he was trying to make a really good looking assist instead of making the simpler textbook assist. Son is definitely looking much better than when he had his mask on. Let's see some more of those beautiful goals though. I love when the British commentators talk about Son's goals. Sonsational! Brilliant! Memorable! World Class! Great win for Tottenham and congrats to Harry Kane! The team really gave it all they had and it was definitely needed. I am really looking forward to seeing the new guy Porro. He looks like he has a lot of potential. COYS

i may be the only one but i don’t think romero’s first yellow was a terrible decision. it clearly rattled haaland and it meant that he had hesitate for the rest of the game. having a player of his quality not fully on their game is an advantage you can’t take for granted
