I honestly think Lex just delivered the most impressive interviewing talent I've ever seen. Kanye is almost impossible to navigate a conversation with and Lex was flawless. The way he respectfully listened to and disagreed then collaborated with Kanye was a lesson in effective communication and an example of what we should strive towards. Ye is so sensitive! So when Lex acknowledged his own hurt feelings, owned them, and expressed empathy for Ye's lack of trust, the disarming effect on Ye finally led to his sincere apology near the end. Amazing. I'd say masterful, but it wouldn't have worked if it hadn't been sincere.

Great interview with “Ye” (great for whatever reasons you might think). The one thing that I most appreciated about him in this conversation is that he was constantly taking notes along the way. THAT’S what makes him a great writer! Not the best writer in the world, as he claims, but maybe the 2nd best. After you read my “Comment”, you can decide if I qualify as a candidate for World’s Best Writer”. For sure as far as “comments” on UKposts videos is regarded, I AM the top dog. I’m a “Serial Commenter”. My “Comments” which usually end up as posts on Social Media as I “Share” a particular video, are the longest comments in the history of UKposts comments. I always start with a single simple “comment” like this one, and if I’m inspired to do so, I continually re-visit my original “Comment” over sometimes hours, editing my “comment” as I add my infamous “Postscripts” as I continue to listen/watch a video, as I ALSO, just like Kanye West/YE, am a voracious note taker. So let’s begin. So far, (and I’m only eight minutes and twenty-five seconds into this awesome two-hour, twenty-six minute and twenty-nine second discussion with Lex Fridman), I find that I’m inspired by, and appreciate the level of intelligence of both dudes. At 75-years-young, I’ve never been into or interested in Kanye’s music genre. I have never listened to any of his music. I DO appreciate the fact that he obviously MUST be great at what he’s done and is doing with his music, as far as his song-writing is concerned. His music is what gave him the foundation for his success in life itself. Stay tuned, postscripts coming. Postscript One: I still think Kanye West was rude when he went up on the 2009 Grammy stage and interrupted Taylor Swift. I bet he now looks back after 15 years and recognizes that he was a narcissistic egotistical a**hole who could not control himself because of his drinking habits. Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD)is a mental health condition that causes people to have an inflated sense of their own importance and a need for excessive attention and admiration. People with NPD may also have troubled relationships and lack empathy for others. They may be self-centered, arrogant, and have poor insight into their condition. In the worst cases, people with NPD may struggle with feelings of failure or rejection, putting their own health and well-being at risk. Sorry “Ye”, but that was my diagnosis 15 years ago. Now back to the podcast. Postscript Two: When Lex was stating, “The desire to be loved”……he nailed it. Narcissistic people HAVE that overwhelming desire to be loved. I would have said something like, “The desire to be loved is a narcissistic personality trait “ just to make it clear to “Ye” and the people watching this podcast. Personally, I have never given a “Flying Fu*k” about how much people love me OR hate me. I prefer indifference. Postscript Also: Responding to the idea that we should not look back at history or dwell on it and look forward: I agree that as a species, we need to ALWAYS look forward, BUT….and it’s a BIG BUT….We HAVE to look at our species from a historical perspective in order to understand our positive accomplishments as well as our mistakes in order HOW to go forward. As I have stated many times in the past, having studied the evolution of our species for over thirty years, we have been crossing a threshold of about 150-175 years between the Age of Pisces (age of Religions & Wars) an approximate 2,300 years span of time/evolution, into the Age of Aquarius (Age of Technology & Peace). As a species, we are fast approaching a fork in the road. One fork leads to the total extinction of our species, and the other fork in the road leads to what I call “Star Trek” time. Beam me up Scotty! As an optimistic dude, I believe that we will survive as a species, in spite of potential catastrophic events/disasters that may happen, like a huge asteroid killing 90% of us or an all-out nuclear war. Postscript Too: At thirty-eight minutes in I thought, “Jeebus Frickin Chlist, this is now borderline stupidity if “Ye” hasn’t figured out yet that it is/was zebraists, not “Jews” who were/are controlling him and the rest of the mainstream entertainment industry”. Kanye, you can’t be that ignorant, or maybe you can. Please, educate yourself about the difference between the Judaic religion/faith (which you CLAIM to be a part of), and zionism (zebraism) which is a political ideology! Postscript I GIVE UP!: Kanye, you have proven to me now at forty-one minutes in that no amount of REAL THERAPY CAN HELP/CHANGE YOU! Kanye, You’re just someone who had enough street smarts and talent in your early career to succeed with the assistance of others…..“Jews?”…..to guide you in your path to success. Lex, who IS Jewish but not a zebraist was so frustrated by your ignorance was truly disgusted with you and was trying to change the fuc*ing subject you ignorant twit! If it were me, I would have ended the podcast at that time. Personally, I would offer you some real therapy but you are a hopeless case. Postscript Final Thoughts: At forty-four minutes into the two hour, twenty-six minute, and twenty-nine second podcast I’ve had enough of this. I’m not going to finish watching/listening to this episode because I don’t feel there will be anything “Ye” says that will be redeeming for him. This is my first “review” that I have decided not to continue any further “Postscript Editing”. For those reading this long “Comment” who are not suffering from ADHD, and HAVE read my “Comment/Review”, this is just one opinion of an old fart who has been around the block a few times. I really don’t care if you agree with me or not.

This is the most honest podcast discussion ever done. The tension is so high that it can burst at any time and by miracle the discussion stays balanced.

Honestly the way that Lex was able to tell Ye in real time that it hurt him to tell him that he didn't trust him honestly was a masterclass in emotional intelligence, I got a lot to learn which is why I subbed!

Prior to watching this interaction I did not know anything about the guest. My impression is that the Lex is somebody with deep integrity and someone to look up to on the other hand the guest seems deeply not happy and in emotional pain ...Interview was a blast I loved the pure and honest interaction.

The verbal exchange when Ye told Lex he doesn't trust him was so intense even I got hurt. The ending was beautiful. What a roller coaster of an interview. Kudos, Lex. No one else could do the magic you did in this episode.

I think it's great how Lex can adapt to people, but to bring in a different wind here, yay, he's really a great visionary and man. notices how much he really thinks everything through, yes he has views that seem extreme, but you have to have that as a leader and think through them yourself. So I'm thrilled and flashed and in this interview you noticed human weaknesses in both of them and that's good. Because we are all human beings no matter what position we are in.

I'll probably not watch the full video now, but its about how I prioritize my time this evening. The point I want to make is that if I want to watch the whole video now which is almost 2 and an half hour, I would. And I would be focused throughout the video. But most people today, at least the Gen Z, but even millennials (I'm a millennial myself but different than many other millennials), would not be able to listen long at all without losing focus. Due to TikTok and now UKposts shorts, people does not have the attention span to listen for long time. I'm not perfect either, if there's something I don't find interesting, it takes harder to focus, true. But if something interests me I can focus for long periods of time so that I even forget to do basic things. I was speaking to someone about this who said that he think people in the future may have shorter attention spans. That humans will evolve their brain in a new way, where focusing for long periods of time becomes very hard. I'm not sure whether it would be evolutionary, but epigenetics is real, so what our parents and great grandparents and so on do, can affect our genes. And maybe this can lead to outcomes that is not so great, such as shorter attention span. So I would guess this would increase the amount of people being diagnosed with ADHD or ADD and given ADHD medication. Whether ADHD is a disability anyway, or whether it is just an advantage, having no attention span would not be an advantage, at least not in the environment we live in that requires focus. Because long attention span leads to more productivity, hard work and success. However with the fourth industrial revolution that is also part of Agenda 2030, where millions of people will have no job, long attention span may not be as important, BUT, it would depend on what you do. If making TikTok videos or UKposts shorts is the only area that you focus on, then a long attention span is not necessary. But some people want to do bigger things in life. I do see some positive things that could come out of the fourth industrial revolution that The World Economic Forum and United Nations speak of. But I also see a lot of bad things coming out of it. And the World Economic Forum and United Nations couldn't care less about humanity. But some good things that could come from it is self employment for more people. It is believed that AI will advance beyond humans so that everything humans come up with AI can come up with. But that is not necessarily so. AI cannot copy everything about a human, and even if they would appear to be able to copy everything about us, it would just be programmed behavior. Now could AI become self aware? First of all, the definition of self awareness can be viewed differently. But if we speak in terms of consciousness that leads to self awareness, then it depends on the nature of reality itself. But I don't believe consciousness is localised in the brain. I don't believe in materialism. I see consciousness as non local, transcending the brain and I don't believe it is confined somewhere. I believe consciousness is just Life itself. So I like Robert Lanza's Biocentrism, because it makes Life the central aspect of what you see. Even though there is no way to prove life outside of myself or my "own consciousness", there's no reason to go that way, because that is more philosophical bordering on solipsism. Why I think self employment is a good thing is because working under other people can be draining. Working for corporations can be draining. And working for others can create less free time because you have no control over your work schedule, how many hours to work and so on. Often they will just call a person telling them to go to work, even waking them in the middle of the night. But if people run their own business or create their own ideas and inventions, then more people will become independent from corporations. Self dependency is good. Governments does not like that very much however. That's why U.S government wants to ban TikTiok. That's why Trump was pushing for TikTok to be banned, and now Joe Biden is doing the same thing. This comment became very lengthy, and I would prefer to write longer, but I know that due to the short attention span of many, many people may not read even this comment fully. However, people who watch this interview probably have long attention spans, so maybe they will read my full comment if they find it interesting.

Kanye 'Ye' West is very convincing in his arguments, come across as an intelligent man, visionary and charitable towards those in need. Ye raises valid points about entertainment business that exploits artists, about Planned Parenthood that does exists mostly in African-American neighborhoods, about BLM. Lex did a very good job handling very tough topics and pain that Ye is experiencing from being rejected by mainstream media.

I think Ye needs a friend like Lex who can be tough enough to call him out on his epic bullshit but gentle and patient enough to try and understand his perspective and help him express it better in conversation, maybe teach him a little more humility and empathy.
