Can we acknowledge that Katara went from not being able to properly waterbend a puddle of water to being able to control tsunamis, bloodbend, and stop the RAIN…. She easily had the best growth as a bender in the series other than Aang himself

@@chicquitos1499 none of them grew anywhere near as fast as she did tho tbh. Plus Zuko and Azula have been training their entier lives with the best masters around, Toph uses bending as a means to interact with the world and Sokka was always creative which is his biggest strength

@@tgfs238 exactly. Katara had the same amount to learn how to Waterbend in the exact amount of time Aang did with the other 3 elements and people forget that. Katara was primarily self taught with the exception of Pakku but that’s irrelevant. She surpassed and beat both Azula & Zuko who had a DECADE of experience over her with the best training and arguably was on par if not very close to Toph as well. And Toph learned from the original earth benders. There’s no doubt at her Peak Katara would’ve been the strongest member in the group after Aang

Katara is so powerful with the sheer amount of water she can control at once and the precision she has to stop each individual rain drop is absolutely incredible. Her resourcefulness of using sweat, plantlife, and even water in the air and clouds makes her useful in almost any situation. Katara is the GOAT!

16:35 is what Hama wasn’t expecting and a moment I LOVE. Karata stood her ground like an earth bender instead of wavering like a water bender. She was so shocked and it showed how Karata is an elite water bender in both offense and defense.

@tamarmebonia939 that's one of my favorite things about this show!!! The way if you look super closely at the gaang's moves throughout their progression, you'll see that they incorporate the other elements into their bending/fighting! It's most obvious with aang (obviously lol) but you can see it with katara, zuko, and even iroh sometimes its so cool! An incredible amount of detail was put into this show and I love seeing people analyze it and point out those kind of details

@@nileverdeen3797 you forgotten the fight in the cave where Aang got struck by Azula's lightning? If Zuko hadn't interfered, Katara would have broken Azula in pieces.. And the only reason Azula had the upper hand at the Final fight was because there was less water Katara could use to defend herself talk more attack.

I loved the payoff of her first fight with Azula. Before she was at her best in the series, Katara was capable of beating Azula in Ba Sing Se. In the finale, she confirmed it when Azula was supercharged by Sozin’s comet and still got put in her place

Okay but can we alssooooooo talk about 10:30 and the little bit of hand-to-hand that she attempted against her master? That was honestly and still is one of my fav moments of her. Also 16:15 was really like the goose bump feeling of Katara really growing into herself as a master of water bending.

Notice how the way she defeated Azula in season 3 was the same way she could've defeated her in Ba Sing Se if Zuko didn't interfere. By trapping her in water where she cannot generate fire.

people always say that katara didn't stand a chance against azula, and if it wasn't for the fact that azula was unraveling mentally during sozin's comet, katara couldn't have bested her. and that she only bested her only because she had a trick up her sleeve, but people forget that katara bested azula in crossroads of destiny fair and square, and would have probably won too if zuko hadn't helped azula out.

It’s not that she didn’t want to be a healer. More that she wanted to learn everything about water bending and didn’t want to be limited by it. Katara clearly taught Korra everything she knew.
