I’m amazed to see how her music career has branched out into so many different directions! She’s been on The Voice several times, she has WON that show with 4 different artists. Her talk show has won several Emmy awards. She has collaborated with several different country artists and won country music awards with them. And she has hosted several different BBMA shows!

I have been a fan since I saw her first American Idol. Kelly is truly gifted.

This literally made me cry. Now I know I’m not crazy. My daughter has always teased me that I love ❤️ Kelly Clarkson more than her! Such a deserved long term career. She turned out to be even more talented than I ever could have realized when I fell in love with that cute little fellow Texan with the quirky personality and most amazing voice I ever heard. One of my favorite Idol performances of hers was the Big Band night. I was sad when they did away with that because it gave younger generations a chance to hear some historical music.

Kelly has been such a staple in my upbringing as a person and it’s all because of American Idol when I heard her sing “Natural Woman”!

When you sat at the judges table, I knew you would win it all. I was almost 41, white male, married and had 1yr old son with a love crush on a girl on TV that lives 100 miles south from my home. Every time I go to DFW area, I always hoped to see you. Isn't that crazy with all the people there to hope to see you but stranger things happen. Love your show as well. I was born in 1999, so I grew up during American Idol’s prime, and let me just say it was definitely something. Like, it was SUCH a cultural phenomenon that I myself at times struggle to explain it in words. Like, when I was a kid in elementary school (from late 2004 to early 2010), you would often see kids talking about the show after an episode was aired and doing impersonations of the judges or even the contestants. Kids would host entire birthday parties centered around the show. Families were gathered around the TV (like mine was) and nearly EVERYONE tuned in to see the show whenever an episode came on, young and old alike. Many kids I remember in elementary school who wanted to be singers dreamed of getting a spot on that show. It was so popular that there were numerous parodies of it when it was during its prime. Not that TV talent shows weren’t a thing up until that time, but most of the time they were not taken seriously. American Idol changed all that. Of course, I was just 3 years old at the time that the first season aired, so I was too young to watch at the time, and therefore too young to remember a time when Kelly Clarkson wasn’t a huge name. Thank you Simon Fuller, for having the confidence and bravery to bring this show to the states at a time when no one else was doing this. You are a visionary.

my friends and i used to travel all over texas to see your concerts. from austin to dallas to houston to san antonio, through horrible weather, through disagreements -- back when we used to have to print directions from mapquest -- we didn't ever want to miss a show. we were the ones that would throw university of texas hats and jerseys on your stage and you'd always put them on right away!! great times!
