What’s funny about this beef is that Drake has to ACTUALLY RAP and can’t just bring up accomplishments, money, accolades, etc. Because Kendrick has those things too, and I think that scares Drake he can’t be beat that way. And on top of that, he’s one of the best wordsmiths currently. Dot even has the luxury of having the mainstream and underground ear for a decade straight, so everyone’s listening. I personally don’t think Kendrick was dissing Cole. But it was a slight warning since he’s been close with Drake recently, someone he knows Kendrick doesn’t like. They’ve been friends for years, but this is more of a “I’m not talking directly to you, but if you want to say something, you can get slaughtered too no problem” 😭 Been a fan of Kendrick for years, and I can’t believe people still doubt his ability and stance in the rap game despite clear evidence of him being one of the biggest rappers on the planet.

One thing I’ve yet to see anyone mention is, as long as Aubrey wants to continue to have a home in Calabasas and be able to move around and conduct business freely in California, he knows he can never really pop too much shit with Kendrick. Hip hop is a competitive sport but the music and the art form is for the people to consume and its better if we see different artists make and deliver new type of music and bring the art up, beefs like these do push artists into bringing themselves up and improve, for me it definitely hurts to see rappers i would've loved to collab not be on terms and a form of music that could've been never come into existence.

Cole got bars Drake got classics Kendrick’s got both… so 2vs1 is fair, and I agree with Kendrick he’s on another level they shouldn’t even be compared. Cole and Drake could never make an album on the level of Section 80, Good Kid Maad City, or To Pimp A Butterfly. They haven’t. I have Kendrick in my top 3 of all time I have Drake and Cole somewhere around the 10-20.
