Devin accepted the fight at 140 and put his belt on the line. That means if Devin did not make weight, he would have lost his belt. Ryan agreed to the dehydration clause when the fight was signed. Devin was put in a position were he either not fight or save the PPV. In addition, not making weight is disrespectful to the sport, period.

People gotta remember that Floyd fought Marquez being 2 pounds overweight and had to pay $600k to Marquez for that. Also, Manny Pacquiao was fighting people heavier than him too and he won those fights. Also, Devin called Ryan a “C-Level” fighter . It’s about having any solid game plan and being able to adjust when things don’t go according to plan. Mind you, Ryan & Haney both got to rehydrate after weigh ins.

Devin agreed to the 1.5 million dollars in the overweight agreement. Just check out what Boxing Ego showed after the fight. On video at the location Devin said that Garcia is just an ordinary boxer and the weight wasn’t going to matter, because he believed he was levels above Garcia. I Love Loma but Idk about that. Look what Teo did to Loma in a.close fight Loma lost.. Loma took too long to adjust to a young fighters power, speed and accuracy then lost the 12th. Keyshawn has all that but better than Teo. I'd Love to see it though, but for Loma to fight him he'd need to have one of the belts bc Loma wants nothing but to be undisputed Lightweight champ. He's fighting Kambosas bc Haney took the belts from him (really both Kambosas AND Loma) to try to force Haney to fight him or look like he's scared. Then Devin screws Loma AGAIN by losing to Ryan and he still lost a belt! Loma's only focus is undisputed at this weight class. If he wanted just undisputed he could have done it fighting at/closer to his natural weight, but he's so good he wants the bigger challenge. He's special, but he has to go for the KO to take it out of the judges hands, but I don't think k he has that power. I know he doesn't at this class, but he CAN KO guys just by throwing accurate combos. He shook Devin more than once & really won that fight easily imo. I hope he gets his shot again, or he won't be remembered for being as special as he really is. He's up there with Bud! If Bud fought at 168 then it'd be what Loma is doing.

The weight had nothing to do with Ryan catching Devin clean with the left hook in the first round. Just stop with the excuses. Devin didn't give Loma a rematch. Ryan will be Devin at 147 also. Ryan is faster and more powerful than Devin. Devin is accustomed to fighting smaller guys that he have the size, weight, height and reach advantage.

Etc could you POSSIBLY be basing that opinion on??! He has DESTROYED everyone he's gone against and looked GREAT doing it! That is just an absurd thing to say. He is a young boxer who just fought a vet only Tank had stopped in Pedraza and dominated him in a KO win. I do think Pedraza looked weak from cutting weight & past his prime but a lot of the "past his prime" part can be credited to who he was facing. He was game, but Davis is a monster. Power so big guys go down and stay down from body shots. Body shots where one announced says "He goes down from a HUGE Davis shot to the liver & he's not getting up!" & the other announcer replies "The liver is on the other side of his body.." & the 1st announcer says, "I know where it is.. He hit his kidney too.. ON THE WAY TO HIS LIVER!"
