Definitely a stretch...but I do believe he performed better at middleweight. I would love to see him face usman. But, if he was as sloppy was he was against burns, he will likely be stopped, he needs to mix it up with his kicks and wrestling, as well as his obvious strength advantage at welterweight. He couldve dominated burns but he chose a slugfest...that won't fly against most top 5's in both divisions. But damn that chin's granite.

I think the same thing. People saying he now looks beatable, I’m like really or he now looks like he can come through war and win. Even without his wrestling and with getting off his plan. Looks scarier now.

@@samantham2204 Yep. A Burns 2 would be a greater fight than the first in that we would see the difference between a fighter who went awol and a fighter who stuck to a game plan.

@Phil Cliffe After listening to both Burns and Khamzat after their fight I think a rematch would be a beat down by Khamzat and that he probably get a finish in round 3. Because Burns just wants another shot, he thinks if he did more of the same he could edge out the win. Whereas Khamzat would be a completely different fighter. If he just kept tagging him w the jab, knocked him down a few more times, he would have conserved enough energy to get the finish. This is my opinion.

Exactly. He won a war against a bad style match up. He proved he can win any kind of fight in his divisions.

He needed to realise the level he was operating at. The differences are narrowed & what you do matters. Strategy becomes important. He brute forced through the number 2 guy. That shouldn’t have been possible with the experience he didn’t have. But he had inside him the real stuff that he said he did. That was his 1st fight. It’s not a fight until you face real resistance & apposition. Then you see what you have & where your are willing to go. Hamzat will be champion within 2 years.
