Add Kim's stunning voice and a great video, and the Supreme one just fades into the ether, which is where it was anyway. The fact it went to No.1 means nothing. An American act with the over-inflated support of their country people. So what? It's barely worthy of a Top 30 entry. It's so unimportant that even Kim didn't know the song well when her brother first raised the idea. It wasn't hard to make a completely new and far better version of it-most of the best 80s acts could do it, but Kim just rules it. When people think of that song, they think of it as HERS as she owns it completely.
