The first I heard was "Took Her To The O". Then "Crazy Story". He instantly became my favorite rapper. I'm rocking his shit checking out all his shit. "On yo Ass" and one of my favorites" I Am what I Am". Im 49 years old and mostly what I kick back to is old skool. But his rhymes and tight beats I became a fan of this young kat with my ol ass. Now I'm telling you this is a true " Crazy" story. My crazy story. I'm listening to is music and telling niggas " that king Von the Shit!" They would be like "Hell Yeah!". Now I'm back and forth from my music I always listen to like DMX and King Von. Now I have been rocking to his shit for about a good month maybe a little over. I'm at my nephew's crib and he's like 24. He rocks the new shit. All the young rappers. So king Von comes on and I mention to my nephew that I'm be the oldest nigga at his concert because when he comes to Charlotte we going! My nephew looked at me and had this look on his face. He turned his TV and asked was I serious. I said hell yeah we going. At the same time I'm wondering why he looking like that. He knows that I became a fan of king Von. When one his songs would come across Pandora or UKposts he would turn it up and say ' unk that's your shit ain't?" Now as I'm looking at my nephew's face wondering why he's looking so confused, didn't take long for him to rock my world. He said unk he's dead. Say what? Dead? Yeah he got killed back in 2020. This is 2024. This year. I started listening to him beginning of April of this year and this young man has been dead for over 3 years. And now I find myself looking up news clips. I'm asking questions. Where did it happen, why did it happen. Was it a car wreck, was he sick, what happened?. That's something. My mood is all #$@& up. I'm hurt, mad, sad, all these emotions. You can believe this or not. This is really one crazy ass story. But he will continue to bey favorite rapper. I will finish downloading all his songs until I have them all to listen to. my heart goes out to his family and makes his music and lyrics sound different. I mean I'm taking it in differently.
