I am from Toronto and just turned 40 last week. I have been following Ryan's career since Breaker high, Ready or Not, AYAFTD etc. Canadian shows. In 2005 I was on a trip from Toronto to Israel. There was talk Ryan was on the flight, After 15 hour flight that started at 6am Toronto time, we landed. As I walked off the gate, I walked past Ryan. I made sure to slow walk so that he would catch up, I asked if he was infact Ryan Gossling and he said yes. I asked for a photo (and then a group photo) he said sure. I told him I have been following his career since Breaker High and that he was a funny guy. He said thanks and then asked us all where we were from. I Said Toronto and he said he was from Cornwall (just east of Toronto) He said thank you for being a fan and was truly honored. This was the time The Notebook had came out and he had blown up. He truly was such a nice person.

He choked up thinking about being without movies as a kid. So moving.

Simple, from the heart speech. Love him for not forgetting to mention the girl of his dreams, Eva Mendez & his two dream children. And not to be forgotten, his mom! What a humble, good partner/husband, son & father - Ryan Gosling! May your kind increase in the world of showbiz/Hollywood where your wife/partner Eva once described as “… a place to worship but not valued”. Wishing you more success in your “job”, Ryan.
