On the other hand, Bruce Bowen & Tayshaun Prince did a number on Kobe in 2003 & 2004 while checking him 1-on-1. Kobe was basically Kyrie & Shaq was Bron, Kyrie could drop huge numbers but he's still the sidekick.

Kobe was regarded as a top 2 TWO-WAY player in the league when he was so young and could still give anybody work on the offensive end because the dude literally had any offensive move in the book, could give you 40 and you wouldn’t see the same move twice. Not taking anything away from Shaqs physical dominance/prowess on both the offensive and defensive end, but Kobe IMO had the tougher assignments defensively and was always the catalyst to the lakers offense to what Doug Collins was referring to as Kobe being to point guard which was also a fact that few people realize.
