Given how both New Leaf and New Horizons were delayed, I'm a little skeptical of Nintendo even releasing the next Animal Crossing game in 2026.

I don't tend to believe in leaks. I'll wait until they announce something, and personally, I don't believe two years is enough to fully develop an animal crossing game. They just finished the Splatoon 3 DLC this year, so I doubt we're getting another game any time soon.

Sometimes I wish Animal Crossing would release for pc, and go all in on the online multiplayer aspect of the game. Hopefully console exclusivity becomes a thing of the past, and even Nintendo budges on this. They could sell so much more copies of their games if they opened it up to more platforms. Animal Crossing on PC would be massive.

I could have sworn I heard that this leak was already proven to be bogus but I may be confusing it for one of the many Pokemon leaks I also heard about around the same time this one was posted.

I felt like the pre-2.0 speculation vs. what came out taghtus that Nintendo will tell us things when they’re ready.

I kinda want them to keep the cozy, small rural village vibes. 10 or a bit more villagers but with the option to choose how many villagers you want (so if you wanted 5 you’d have five villagers) the option to customize areas like residential services and more customization options. I don’t like big cities and big cars personally those things just feel unnecessary especially for a game that’s meant to be cozy and just- animal crossing? Id also like them to bring back some of the older things from older games like new leaf and bring new mechanics that matches the animal crossing feel. But this is just my opinion and I can’t wait to see what the franchise does next no matter what!

Nash Weedle is a well known leaker when it comes to Nintendo stuff, and is usually considered a more trustworthy one. Also in regards to the series, AC has had an anime adaptation before, so its not too crazy of an idea

Your new Horizons videos helped me so much on my journey to villager hunting, kicking villagers off my island, and getting a 5 star island. Ah! Animal Crossing: New Horizons Leaks and Dramas about the game. These where the days in 2020! I kinda miss them to be honest. Well Ninji was a credible source. Many leakers are not. Maybe Pyoro is VERY credible too. Since he never ever made a wrong statement.

No new space? Smh Also I think the next game should have more release content. Nintendo’s biggest issue post new horizons is that it feels like a pre released game at full price (cough cough splatoon 3) I want the game to feel complete at launch, instead of a year of updates before it exceeds the next game. Even if that means the game is delayed, I think that you should get what you pay for at launch.

Whatever happens, the next game needs a more catchy soundtrack. New Horizons has the worst music in the franchise. How can we be expected to play a game for hundreds of hours if the music feels like it was designed to annoy people? (We all know which hour I’m talking about)

If it isn't out in 2025 or before, I'm done with it. The only thing that is keeping any form of public interest in Animal Crossing is content made by people like you. Thanks for that. It's too bad they didn't take advantage of the massive public interest from New Horizons. Kids who played it will be in college for the next release. The covid players aren't locked down any more. The die-hard fans are burnt out on the same old game. I have all the amiibos of the villagers i care about, two switches getting dusty, and zero hope for the future.
