Don't feel too bad, we all know Green Book didn't deserve it. Plus take comfort in the fact that three of the best directors working today are Mexican and brilliant and have made some of the finest films in Hollywood (and all three have won Best Director and a few Best Pictures, even if their films weren't in their native language). Mexico's strong cinematic history has been established for quite some time. It's nice to see Asian cinema getting some much deserved love.

I know what you're saying, but to be fair, winning Best Director is pretty much as good as winning Best Picture. Hell, in literally half of the previous decade, a Mexican won that award.

@@HideyoshiAMVs it's miss :) depends on what genre you like. i recommend all Bong Joon Ho's movie, my fave is Memories of Murder. my other personal faves from many genre are New World , Assura, Extreme Job ,Taxi Driver, The Wailing, My Sassy Girl, Tae Guk Gi, I Saw The Devil.Miracle in Cell no.7, The Admiral of Roaring Current, Burning. i could go on and on honestly. try those and let me know :)

The Good The Bad and The Weird, Train to Busan, Tale of Two Sisters, Treeless Mountain, Poetry. Bong Joon-ho also made Snowpiercer and to throw in a little Japanese, Takashi Miike is one of my favs, he has a lot of movies it can be hard to navigate through plus they can be the most brutal or weird, but also amazing

If you like Bong Joon Ho's films you gotta watch Park Chan-wook and Yeon Sang-ho movies. Also, if you want to watch a more light hearted but very emotional Korean film try one called Sunny.

Try watching the witch part 1. The son in parasite is on that movie. The witch is one of the best thriller movie ive seen. The actress is very good..
