Как же бывает обидно, когда потраченное время, усилие или деньги не приносит результата, тратиться попусту.
В таких ситуациях мы скажем, всё пошло коту под хвост.
Может, вы удивитесь, но в английском языке это выражение куда более логичное, чем «коту под хвост». Они скажут что-то is going or goes...
