The fact that Ba ba ba had to put on a filter and pretend like he was happy, which is obviously something he clearly wasn't truly feeling, just because it's what other people wanted out of him says a lot about the capitalist society that we live in. I am truly in shock. This was a close one. A very seducing interpretation of Kumalala Savesta by the gentleman on the left, but on the right, we heard a heart wrenching love song called Ba Ba Ba. Im letting the poor bloke on the right win because of his beautiful interpretation of Ba Ba Ba.

Kumalala Savesta illustrates perfectly what it means to fake an illness whilst being perfectly sane for the sake of attention by creating deep and gripping statements such as Kumalala Savesta while maintaining no facial expression whatsoever. His expert lyricism is meant to display an outward need for help while his lack of expression allows us to see the deeper meaning for his expression. To purely grip people with his heartfelt and charged statement whilst not having any true emotion to back it up. Ba ba ba ba ba on the other hand does the complete opposite. The absolute lack of lyrical complexity contradicting his extreme expressionistic tendencies illustrates perfectly how people in todays society tend to cover up their true hatred, passion, and basic needs verbally while truly inside needing to display signs of awareness that they are in extreme agony and in need of help. Furthermore, the ba ba ba interpretation creates a statement that although this character is attempting to control their outward emotion and feelings by displaying an outwardly simple expression, the facial expressions he tends to make shows how obvious someone attempting to cover up their illness, pain, and suffering is, conveying to us that the problem isn’t them trying to hide their issues, but it is the people who surround them who do not act upon seeing these signs. Overall I believe that these two performances ascend above competition and in turn work together to display the greater message that is the misuse of mental illness among our society. I believe that both of these performances win in this case because of their ability to together uncover one of the greatest issues in our world today.

This battle was amazing. Both songs had an amazing tune and beat. Kumalala made me feel uneasy and mixed emotions which is something I don’t believe I should be experiencing on a amazing song. The vast ideas put into kumalala is nice but not enough. Ba babaaa is truly amazing. It shows the characters backstory and what they’ve been through.
