She mourned her father that was still alive. The least he could do was allow her to still call him dad, so in some way she can feel like she still has a father. I truly feel like we live in a delusional, narcissistic world. Theirs nothing courageous about this. Having a dad myself who is also selfish, this would be horrible and I think I’d need lots of therapy, God and healing, even as an adult. Imagine being a teen? Nobody ever thinks of the children….
