Actually makeup is a billion dollar business. I doubt Kris or Bruce just had spare millions lying around...Kylie most likely used her earnings from KUWTK and the book she wrote with Kendall...and from there all she needed was the Kardashian name. But in Kylie's defense, when her lip kits came out people used to laugh at her and make fun of her...and now look at her.

She actually worked really hard and is a very intelligent woman. Yes, she had more to begin with than most but she knew how to make the best of her resources. If you hand over millions to someone with no potential, they won’t know how to make more money with those resources and how to establish an empire like hers. She really didn’t HAVE to work that hard if you think about it, she had so much in life, she could’ve not worked at all and lived an awesome life still. But she chose to work hard. She’s an incredible woman.

You mean NBCUniversal’s paychecks did, not her parents. An entire show/network paid her, not her parents. I don’t know any parents that would throw money at their children while their child already had a career and was making bank on a national level. The entire family split $150 million that they got from E! at one point. They did not get $150 million from Kris Jenner or Bruce/Caitlyn Jenner. They got paid millions at a very young age to be on national television. If a company is paying you to work, that is not inheriting money from your parents. Last time I checked, companies are not our parents.

I wish the best for all people, but I will call her out when she says she is self made. She has been born into privilege. It would be one thing if she came from nothing and started this business all on her own, but she has her mom and sisters that have helped her. I think she needs a dose of reality and live in the real world for a month with a weekly budget. Then I think she would be more grateful and humble towards others. One thing I didn’t like , she made it seem as if she has greater responsibilities than other 19 years old .. I would have to disagree ! Imagine being 19 , wanting to go to college but your mother just got deported and what is left is yourself & 2 younger siblings. Now to keep a roof under your heads or to simply keep your family together you have to maintain income . Imagine finding a well paid job at age 19 no experience what so ever & having the responsibility to take your siblings to school , doctor appointments, etc . Basically be a mother to them . But also give up everything you wanted to do . Now , I’m not hating whatsoever nor saying she has no right to complain of her responsibility but for her to think and say “ you know what I’m happy about the type of responsibilities I have and not ones of will I eat or my siblings tonight .”

Same. I respect her achievements and agree that she deserves to be proud of it but I do not like how oblivious and insensitive she is about the suffering of the less fortunate in the real world. If I recall correctly, a college student in China literally died of starvation and malnutrition because both her parents passed away, she’s living with her brother who has Down’s Syndrome off of financial help from some sort of NFPO at more or less USD100 for a whole month. Turns out, she has been eating only one meal a day that consists of only rice and gravy for years while putting aside every single penny she has left towards her brother’s medical bills. Yeah, Kylie had it hard.

Being a CEO means your also control other people’s lives and income. If her company went under, those are 100 employees that go jobless and now have to worry about how to feed themselves and their kids. I don’t think anybody has it harder than anyone else. Everyone has the same challenges in different ways. I’ve learned this as I’ve been my own business. Being a CEO is a LOT more work than people realize, and most of the time you work 24/7 and you’re employees only work normal 9-5

lol give me a list of billionaires who didnt come from a wealthy family. There's some, but not many. They got A LOT of help to build their businesses. Kylie had first mover advantage with her product. To think of lip liners that perfectly match lipsticks? This was wanted for years, but she was the first one to do it! Thats how it works.

When you come from money, made YEARS of residual income from a popular reality TV show (per your mom's request contractually), and already having famous peers to promote your product. I don't see it as starting "from the bottom" self made. The only credit I can really give her is that she is actually passionate about her product and she has put in the work/attention for keeping her brand relevant and successful.

Kylie is KILLING it. Everyone who says anything negative about her is jealous. Think about how many millionaire families have kids and what those kids do with the money they inherent. It takes a certain type of person to start a business and be successful, money helps but its certainly not everything it takes. A good example of a rich privileged would be Olivia jade and her mom using their money to get into collage and then her making a video acting ungrateful as hell. Kylie Jenner is not like that

The people actually making her products are the real hard workers. Im pursuing a career in cosmetic science and I met one of the women that actually works for the labs that formulates her products and its alot thats goes into making it.
