From the Lakers perspective, you get Denver after 4 days rest, & with your star players healthy. Best chances Lakers are gonna get, if they’re gonna beat Denver in a 7 game series. Also, this isn’t the same Nuggets team they were last year. Losing Bruce Brown & Jeff Green cost them depth. And for the 0-8 record, remember that most of those games were single digit losses. If DLo doesn’t shrink in the WCF, or disappears in a couple of those regular season games, we could be having a completely different conversation. We already know what LeBron & AD are gonna do. But if DLo’s shots are falling, then this can be a very interesting series.

Why avoid the Nuggets? I don’t see anyone knocking them out anyways before the Lakers would have to face them. So why not play them while you have nearly the whole team healthy? It’s a better shot now before possible injuries in the semis or conference finals. If they were to make it that far. I just feel like you want to play the best when you’re hot and I’m ready for a tough series. All the games were within reach last year but they just couldn’t get over the hump.
