While I can’t say Mac was better, I can say I believe Lamar would not have fit that system. That bama team was stacked with weapons and had Sark dialing up ways to get devonte and the others the ball in space. It took a QB that distributed the ball on time and with accuracy to make it work. I think very highly of lamar but he’s not a naturally anticipatory thrower and wouldn’t have been better in THAT offense with those guys around him.

Nick - what is your problem with the Ravens? When you get offered the second biggest contract in NFL history short of the Clowns, you’ve not been disrespected. The Ravens have public ally supported Lamar from the minute he was drafted. They’ve never wavered on that. Teams that don't want to mortgage their entire franchise for a small chance at a SB during the Mahomes prime and Burrow rookie contract era, know that Lamar is a no-go. The only thing hurting Lamar, the reason the Ravens and probably also the Pats are happy to try their luck on an own rookie qb run again, is that unprecedented level of competition within the conference. That being said, i have no idea why the NFC also-rans aren't all over this.

Actually it does improve your defense because on paper alone without question you have to believe your run game will improve…that means you score differently meaning extending drives and controlling the clock and field position which at a minimum keeps your defense off the field as much etc…things like that impact games

I love this show and as a chiefs fan love Nick Wright but you gotta lay off it a bit man. I feel like we cant get through a single segment about an AFC team without him saying "They'll never beat Mahomes and the Chief's for a superbowl so it doesn't really matter does it".

@@voltrono4166 I don't see how being black has anything to do with it. Rogers nuked his team's cap budget and got one of the best receivers in the league shipped to the Raiders, killing the Packers 2021/2022 season all to be the highest paid quarterback in the league.
