This song made my entire existence ASCEND! I was NOT expecting Lana to do what she did here, she's definitely reinvented herself once again! I've heard rumors of tracks being even more crazy than this one on the album, and hopefully it's true!

Your reaction was very similar to mine.. only I was driving! Literally had to pull over and play it again. Blew my mind! I’ve been heavily into music for many many years and I struggle to remember a song that so beautifully blew my mind on first hearing. Most songs usually take a few listens to really get into them. This was the complete opposite.. as you said, instantly “obsessed!”

15:21 I believe this references the Rosemead and Ramada line. Ramada is a line of hotels. I think she may have told people that she was living in one place (Rosemead) or was staying at one place (Rosemead). But really she was actually at the Ramada with the guy so the incident wouldn’t be believed because she already contradicted herself by lying where she was. I think that’s what she meant by “I already f***ed up my story”

Knew you'd absolutely love this and connect with it. What I've thought and seen others mention is that Moms (parents) tell young girls they have to stop doing cartwheels and things like this so men "won't get the wrong idea." Putting the responsibility for men's thoughts on a young child. And only because she's a girl. Boys can continue to wrestle and horseplay for their entire life. Girls get told, "Sit still, be modest." Especially with the next line about her father's wife (Patty), not doing a cartwheel since she was a child was definitely a negative relating to her Mom. Patty didn't leave and start a new family but they argued about everything & she was integral in sending Lana to boarding school when she was drinking & screwing up... who knows, maybe the line about, "your Mom called, I told her you're f*cking up big time," maybe she's mocking "Jimmy" (a name used often) or the guys who told her Mom what a fk up she is. Rosemead is a very nice city in Los Angeles County (in the LA area) and the Ramada is actually "The Ramada Inn" but usually shortened if they're familiar with the basic hotel chain. Nothing fancy but a decent hotel. It ain't the Chateau Marmont 😂😂 The second half is all Lizzy Grant and definitely showcased well with that "pretty baby" Off to the Races voice. It was perfected in Lizzy's, "Put Me in a Movie" era! Lol So excited for the album, I'll look forward to your reaction❣

the beautiful transition takes a whole minute ! takes me back to Blink-182 I loved their debut and first few albums (with the original drummer) the instrumental intros were a whole minute before they started singing. cool. ugh the second half could be even longer too!
